So who knows what Sanctification Means?
Becoming like Jesus
How do we become like Jesus? What happens when we become more and more like Jesus? We start to walk like Jesus
Walking like Jesus is not an easy task, but it's one that we are called to as Christians. It's not just about mimicking Jesus' physical steps, but it's about following His example in every aspect of our lives. In 1 John 2:6, it says, "Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did." So what does it mean to live as Jesus did?

(John 13:34) Walk in Love

Firstly, walking like Jesus means walking in love. Jesus' life was characterized by love, and He commands us to love one another as He has loved us (John 13:34). This means loving even those who are difficult to love, those who have wronged us, and those who are different from us. We are called to love selflessly, just as Jesus did when He laid down His life for us.

Philippians 2:3-4 Walk in Humility

Secondly, walking like Jesus means walking in humility. Jesus was the embodiment of humility, and He calls us to follow His example. Philippians 2:3-4 says, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others." When we walk in humility, we recognize that we are not better than anyone else and that we are all in need of God's grace.

John 6:38 Walk in Obedience

Thirdly, walking like Jesus means walking in obedience to God's will. Jesus always sought to do the will of the Father, even when it meant sacrificing His own desires and plans. In John 6:38, He says, "For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me." We are called to submit to God's will and follow His leading, even when it's difficult or goes against our own desires.

Mark 10:45 Walk in Service

Fourthly, walking like Jesus means walking in service to others. Jesus' life was characterized by service, and He calls us to follow His example. In Mark 10:45, He says, "For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." We are called to serve others selflessly, just as Jesus did when He washed His disciples' feet.

Hebrews 11:6 Walk in Faith

Fifthly walking like Jesus means walking in faith. Jesus had unwavering faith in the Father, and He calls us to have the same faith. Hebrews 11:6 says, "And without faith, it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him." We are called to trust in God's goodness and provision, even when we can't see the way forward.

Luke 19:10 Walk in the Gospel

I have come to seek and save the Lost. Matt 5:16 Let your light shine so that others will see your good works and glorify God in heave. We should walk in a way that proclaims Jesus to the World.
In conclusion, walking like Jesus is not easy, but it's the way we are called to live as Christians.
We are called to walk in love, humility, obedience, service, faith and the gospel.
Let us strive to follow His example in every aspect of our lives, knowing that as we do, we will become more like Him and bring glory to His name.
