From an Obsolete Message to Powerful Witness

Apollos was mighty in the Scriptures and eloquent. He had the pathway to Christ, but not the complete message.
He knew about John the Baptist and new that Jesus was the Messiah, but he did not have the rest of the story.
Garmen GPS on Hwy 412 after the new road was open - always confused.
He just needed a mature Christian couple to lovingly take him aside and explain the “Rest of the Story.”
Titus 3:13 “Do your best to speed Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their way; see that they lack nothing.”

From Incomplete to Genuine Faith

There are many people who profess to be believers, but have not trusted Christ as Savior!
They have a baptism unto repentance, but not the baptism unto resurrection life in Christ Jesus!
Man and woman at FBC Rogers outreach who were relying on keeping the 10 Commandments for Salvation. They had incomplete faith!
The Holy Spirit confirms genuine believers (not all speak in tongues). Every believer has the Holy Spirit.
Romans 8:12-17 “So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.”

From Impotent to Transforming Faith

Impotent faith relies on the faith of others, but does not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
It is powerless to fight against the devil and his work.
When people saw the need for personal faith in Christ, the message of Paul authenticated through signs, they were moved to destroy their old way of life in obedience to Christ.
Transforming faith is changed by the power of Holy Spirit to walk in obedience to the Lord through faith in Christ!
Romans 12:1-2 “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
