It was early in the morning and I didn’t know if I was asleep or if I was awake yet but this I know I felt another earthquake. I jumped out of my bed in terror and quickly checked my phone to see if what I felt was true because I was still having anxiety from the last earthquake that occured couple days ago. I was having like a nightmare of the previous earthquake and when I woke up gasping for air and my heart pounding I was actually feeling my bed shaking and the chandelier swinging and sure enough another earthquake had occured. While I had my phone on my hand I went into Facebook and informed the whole world that I was safe through the earthquake. All of a sudden, I started to see the news feed from a friend Maggy that our friend that had died had resurrected that morning. I didn’t know what to think or respond. I contacted my friend because we had planned to leave that morning back home. He had also seen the news and was in as much shock as I was. We didn’t believe the news so we decided that we would go to the tomb to see if it was true. As we entered the tomb we didn’t see his body there. The sheets that covered his body was folded and even though the tomb was cold and empty it warmed up our hearts with hope. Nonetheless, in few seconds passed and then we received the news from the church that the news where fake news and that most likely his body was stolen. My friend and I started to walk back home when a man approached us.
I Can See
Prayer
Luke 24:13–15 NKJV
13 Now behold, two of them were traveling that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was seven miles from Jerusalem. 14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened. 15 So it was, while they conversed and reasoned, that Jesus Himself drew near and went with them.
Lesson #1
Jesus wants to walk with.
In the joyful moments of your life: Jesus wants to walk with you!
In the grateful moments of your life: Jesus wants to walk with you!
In the good times: Jesus wants to walk with you!
In the somewhat good times: Jesus wants to walk with you!
In the bad times: Jesus wants to walk with you!
In the real bad times: Jesus wants to walk with you!
In the most awful times: Jesus wants to walk with you!
In the most miserable times: Jesus wants to walk with you!
Jesus wants to experience life with YOU!!
Luke 24:16 NKJV
16 But their eyes were restrained, so that they did not know Him.
Lesson #2
The lesson is more important than the experience.
Many times God does allow us to see the protection that He has for us because He wants us to trust on His process.
Luke 24:17 NKJV
17 And He said to them, “What kind of conversation is this that you have with one another as you walk and are sad?”
Lesson #3
Jesus is interested in our:
Conversation
Emotions
How can a person be sad in the face of hope/joy?
Christ Method Alone
Ministry of Healing Medical Missionaries and Their Work

Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching the people. The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good. He showed His sympathy for them, ministered to their needs, and won their confidence. Then He bade them, “Follow Me.”

Most importance for Jesus
Being with His disciples
Understanding his feelings and emotions.
Teaching them a life lesson.
Luke 24:18–27 NKJV
18 Then the one whose name was Cleopas answered and said to Him, “Are You the only stranger in Jerusalem, and have You not known the things which happened there in these days?” 19 And He said to them, “What things?” So they said to Him, “The things concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a Prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people, 20 and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered Him to be condemned to death, and crucified Him. 21 But we were hoping that it was He who was going to redeem Israel. Indeed, besides all this, today is the third day since these things happened. 22 Yes, and certain women of our company, who arrived at the tomb early, astonished us. 23 When they did not find His body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels who said He was alive. 24 And certain of those who were with us went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said; but Him they did not see.” 25 Then He said to them, “O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory?” 27 And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.
Lesson #4
Jesus is interested in our heart not our knowledge:
Their religious knowledge created a expectations that was not what God had through his methodology, even though it was prophesied.
They trusted more of their religion than the Torah/Scriptures.
They trusted more on the traditions than the Torah/Scriptures.
They trusted more on the religious leader than the Torah/Scriptures.
The heart helps us believe/faith/trust on the promises that He has given to us.
I imagine that Jesus started to tell his disciples that was full of sorrow:
Take courage don’t forget what:
Numbers 21:9 NKJV
9 So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived.
Isaiah 9:6 NKJV
6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Jeremiah 33:14–15 NKJV
14 ‘Behold, the days are coming,’ says the Lord, ‘that I will perform that good thing which I have promised to the house of Israel and to the house of Judah: 15 ‘In those days and at that time I will cause to grow up to David A Branch of righteousness; He shall execute judgment and righteousness in the earth.
Daniel 9:24–27 NKJV
24 “Seventy weeks are determined For your people and for your holy city, To finish the transgression, To make an end of sins, To make reconciliation for iniquity, To bring in everlasting righteousness, To seal up vision and prophecy, And to anoint the Most Holy. 25 “Know therefore and understand, That from the going forth of the command To restore and build Jerusalem Until Messiah the Prince, There shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; The street shall be built again, and the wall, Even in troublesome times. 26 “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself; And the people of the prince who is to come Shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end of it shall be with a flood, And till the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 Then he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week; But in the middle of the week He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall be one who makes desolate, Even until the consummation, which is determined, Is poured out on the desolate.”
Zechariah 12:10 NKJV
10 “And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.
Jesus still has promises for us in His scriptures to take us through sad days:
We are not orphan:
John 14:18 NKJV
18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
He is near my pain:
Psalm 34:18 NKJV
18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.
His love for us this much:
John 3:16 NKJV
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
He loves to spend time with us:
Isaiah 66:23 NKJV
23 And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, And from one Sabbath to another, All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the Lord.
We won’t be alone:
1 Thessalonians 4:14–17 NKJV
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. 15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
We will no longer suffer:
Revelation 21:4 NKJV
4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Luke 24:28–29 NKJV
28 Then they drew near to the village where they were going, and He indicated that He would have gone farther. 29 But they constrained Him, saying, “Abide with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent.” And He went in to stay with them.
Lesson #5
God does not intrude into our lives but he knocks to see if you will want Him to be in our lives.
Have you gotten to the point that you beg God to stay with you?
Luke 24:30–31 NKJV
30 Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him; and He vanished from their sight.
Lesson #6
It was not until these disciples allow Jesus to break bread with them that their eyes where not open.
To become intimate and recognize your God you must break bread with Him.
Spend time in His word.
Spend time with Him in prayer.
Luke 24:32–35 NKJV
32 And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” 33 So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven and those who were with them gathered together, 34 saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!” 35 And they told about the things that had happened on the road, and how He was known to them in the breaking of bread.
Lesson #7
When God speaks to you through His scripture your heart should burn.
As your heart is burning, it is our duty to share that burning that moment.
Share the goodness of God in your life
God has been good
He has granted you life and life more abundantly
He has granted us forgiveness for our sins.
He has lifted us from pit of sin.
He has adopted us into his family
He has healed our disease
He has loved us.
He has given us good years and renewed our strengths.
How many want to testify that God has been good to you?
If you are going through the sorrow or sadness day today is a good day to merge into a road of Joy by praise God for what He has done for and the promises that He has left in His word.
