The Pharisees were willing to justify thoughts of murdering of Lazarus and Jesus to further the cause they believed was righteous. Let us not fall into the trap of letting the end justify the means.
Jesus came to Jerusalem in peace, not as a warrior to enact vengeance against Rome.
The crowd waved palm leaves as He arrived... "Tamar" is Hebrew for palm tree; Tamar began the line of Judah. So the people are actually waving a symbol for the lineage of the king, Jesus' own lineage.
We must guard against picking and choosing what we like and don't like about Jesus, and about the Word. We must be either all in or all out... we need to accept Him on His terms!
