Passover starts on the fifteenth day of the first month of the Hebrew Calendar. This year, Passover begins on April 5 and ends on April 13 (The Festival of Unleavened Bread)
Hebrew Calendar is based on Lunar Year which is the amount of time it takes for the moon to make 12 full cycles, roughly 354 days.
Jewish Day goes from nightfall to nightfall. Our days go from midnight to midnight.
Deuteronomy 16:1-8. Matthew 26:17.

The Festival Begins

Exodus 12:1-13.
9 plagues previously, this is the final plague: The Death of the Firstborn
1.Water Turner to Blood, 2. Frogs, 3. Gnats, 4. Swarm of Flies, 5. Death of Livestock, 6. Boils, 7. Hail, 8. Locusts, 9. Darkness
Why the plagues? Exodus 7:17 “17 This is what the Lord says: Here is how you will know that I am the Lord. Watch. I am about to strike the water in the Nile with the staff in my hand, and it will turn to blood.”
Unleavened Bread: Bread without leavening in it. Quick baking bread made from water and flour. Deuteronomy 16:3 “3 Do not eat leavened bread with it. For seven days you are to eat unleavened bread with it, the bread of hardship—because you left the land of Egypt in a hurry—so that you may remember for the rest of your life the day you left the land of Egypt.”
Exodus 12:11 “11 Here is how you must eat it: You must be dressed for travel, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. You are to eat it in a hurry; it is the Lord’s Passover.”
Exodus 12:33-51.
What is the significance of the Passover?
Why did Israelites continue to practice the Passover after leaving Egypt?

Jesus & The Disciples Observed Passover

Matthew 26:17-30.
What happened at the Passover Jesus observed with His disciples?
Read Matthew 26:18 together. Did the passover lambs blood from the Exodus provide forgiveness of sins? What is different between the blood of the old covenant lamb and the new covenant lamb (Jesus Christ)? (Jesus blood offered forgiveness of sins whereas the lambs blood of the Passover was a symbol pointing forward to the Messiah who would one day cover their sins with forgiveness)

Jesus: The Passover Lamb

Hebrews 9:15–28 CSB
15 Therefore, he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance, because a death has taken place for redemption from the transgressions committed under the first covenant. 16 Where a will exists, the death of the one who made it must be established. 17 For a will is valid only when people die, since it is never in effect while the one who made it is living. 18 That is why even the first covenant was inaugurated with blood. 19 For when every command had been proclaimed by Moses to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, along with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll itself and all the people, 20 saying, This is the blood of the covenant that God has ordained for you. 21 In the same way, he sprinkled the tabernacle and all the articles of worship with blood. 22 According to the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. 23 Therefore, it was necessary for the copies of the things in the heavens to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves to be purified with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with hands (only a model of the true one) but into heaven itself, so that he might now appear in the presence of God for us. 25 He did not do this to offer himself many times, as the high priest enters the sanctuary yearly with the blood of another. 26 Otherwise, he would have had to suffer many times since the foundation of the world. But now he has appeared one time, at the end of the ages, for the removal of sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 And just as it is appointed for people to die once—and after this, judgment— 28 so also Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
The Old Testament passover lamb and sacrificial lambs were offered regularly for sins of the people, showing it was not sufficient for indefinite forgiveness of sins. How is Jesus blood(forgiveness) different from the Old Testament sacrificial system?
What does it mean for Jesus blood to cover our sins? How does Jesus bear our sins?
Conclusion
Are you covered by the blood? When God looks on you does He see your efforts and your sin or does He see the blood of the son?
