At the end of the week, I think we could say that it was a successful week.

We did have a couple of injuries, though we have heard that the players are recovering well. We had one of our students rushed to the emergency room for unrelated health concerns. Nahum Rodriguez wanted to record a short video for his coaches and the German team.

All this week we have talked about the long anticipated return of Jesus Christ to claim his bride, the church.

This morning I want to give you all—and your parents and family—an overview of what you have been learning this week. We have been looking at some of the truths that we learn in the Bible.
Esta mañana quiero darles a todos ustedes -y a sus padres y familiares- una visión general de lo que han estado aprendiendo esta semana. Hemos estado estudiando algunas de las verdades que aprendemos en la Biblia.
Every day, your campers have been playing a LOT of soccer. But they have also had Team Time each day where they learned about one of these truths.

Let’s take a look at them....

We learned that God created the world and everything in it and he considered it to be good.
Aprendimos que Dios creó el mundo y todo lo que hay en él y lo consideró bueno.
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good indeed. Evening came and then morning: the sixth day.

God had a plan for this world but something interrupted that plan.
Dios tenía un plan para este mundo, pero algo interrumpió ese plan.
When his creation, Adam and Eve, sinned in the Garden they allowed sin to enter into the world. This broke everything that God considered good.
Cuando su creación, Adán y Eva, pecaron en el Jardín, permitieron que el pecado entrara en el mundo. Esto quebrantó todo lo que Dios consideraba bueno.
For this reason our world is functional, yet it is broken and not fulfilling its fullest potential as God planned.
Por esta razón nuestro mundo es funcional, pero está roto y no desarrolla todo su potencial como Dios lo planeó.

We also learned that God cannot mix with sin. This is something in his nature that we as humans cannot understand. He is so good and so pure that he cannot abide with sin.
También aprendimos que Dios no puede mezclarse con el pecado. Esto es algo en su naturaleza que nosotros como humanos no podemos entender. Es tan bueno y tan puro que no puede convivir con el pecado.
4 The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord—his throne is in heaven. His eyes watch; his gaze examines everyone. 5 The Lord examines the righteous, but he hates the wicked and those who love violence. 6 Let him rain burning coals and sulfur on the wicked; let a scorching wind be the portion in their cup. 7 For the Lord is righteous; he loves righteous deeds. The upright will see his face.
4 El Señor está en Su santo templo, el trono del Señor está en los cielos; Sus ojos contemplan, Sus párpados examinan a los hijos de los hombres. 5 El Señor prueba al justo y al impío, Y Su alma aborrece al que ama la violencia. 6 Sobre los impíos hará llover carbones encendidos; Fuego, azufre y viento abrasador será la porción de su copa. 7 Pues el Señor es justo; Él ama la justicia; Los rectos contemplarán Su rostro.
God’s holiness—that is, his purity, his righteousness, his justice—puts him in direct opposition to sin. God loves mankind, but he cannot stand our sinful state.
La santidad de Dios—es decir, su pureza, su rectitud, su justicia—le opone directamente al pecado. Dios ama a la humanidad, pero no puede soportar nuestro estado pecaminoso.

We are all born into sin. This is what the Bible teaches us...
23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; 24 they are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.
Todos nacemos en pecado. Esto es lo que nos enseña la Biblia...
23 por cuanto todos pecaron y no alcanzan la gloria de Dios. 24 Todos son justificados gratuitamente por Su gracia por medio de la redención que es en Cristo Jesús,
Because of this sin, our relationship with God is broken. We fall short of the mark, the goal, the possibility of having a relationship with God.
A causa de este pecado, nuestra relación con Dios está rota. No alcanzamos la meta, la posibilidad de tener una relación con Dios.
The enemy [Satan] tells us that we can get our act together and get cleaned up enough so that Jesus will accept us. The truth is that this is impossible. We cannot clean up enough for God to accepts us as we are.
El enemigo [Satanás] nos dice que podemos arreglarnos y limpiarnos lo suficiente para que Jesús nos acepte. La verdad es que esto es imposible. No podemos limpiarnos lo suficiente para que Dios nos acepte como somos.
But through Christ, we can be forgiven and made clean.
Pero a través de Cristo, podemos ser perdonados y limpiados.

God sent his son Jesus to this world for one reason...
10 For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save the lost.”
Dios envió a su hijo Jesús a este mundo por una razón...
10 porque el Hijo del Hombre ha venido a buscar y a salvar lo que se había perdido».
Jesus came to seek and save the lost—that’s mankind without Christ, lost because of this broken relationship with God.
Jesús vino a buscar y salvar a los perdidos, es decir, a la humanidad sin Cristo, perdida a causa de esta relación rota con Dios.
Jesus death on the cross served a purpose and that purpose was to provide a way that we could receive forgiveness and be returned to a right standing with God.
La muerte de Jesús en la cruz sirvió a un propósito y ese propósito era proporcionar una manera de que pudiéramos recibir el perdón y ser devueltos a una posición correcta con Dios.
16 For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

The greatest news of all is that God loved us, in spite of our broken and sinful condition. He provided a way that we could find forgiveness and restore our relationship and gain a right standing before God.
La mejor noticia de todas es que Dios nos amó, a pesar de nuestra condición quebrantada y pecaminosa. Él proveyó un camino para que pudiéramos encontrar el perdón y restaurar nuestra relación y obtener una posición correcta ante Dios.

When we choose Christ, we choose to believe in him and put our confidence in him for our salvation from death. This is called faith.
Cuando elegimos a Cristo, elegimos creer en Él y poner nuestra confianza en Él para nuestra salvación de la muerte. Esto se llama fe.
Faith is a reliance upon God and a trust in him for everything that we need, but also a confidence that he will provide the salvation that he promised us when we believed.
La fe es una dependencia de Dios y una confianza en Él para todo lo que necesitamos, pero tambien una confianza en que Él nos proporcionará la salvación que nos prometió cuando creímos.
Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen. For by this our ancestors were approved. By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible.
1 Ahora bien, la fe es la certeza de lo que se espera, la convicción de lo que no se ve. 2 Porque por ella recibieron aprobación los antiguos. 3 Por la fe entendemos que el universo fue preparado por la palabra de Dios, de modo que lo que se ve no fue hecho de cosas visibles.
The key here is that God, as true justice is able to forgive our sins...
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
La clave aquí es que Dios, como verdadera justicia es capaz de perdonar nuestros pecados....
9 Si confesamos nuestros pecados, Él es fiel y justo para perdonarnos los pecados y para limpiarnos de toda maldad.
This forgiveness allows us to enter directly into God’s presence, which we do through prayer.
Este perdón nos permite entrar directamente en la presencia de Dios, lo que hacemos a través de la oración.

We’ve talked about this all week that Jesus will return to us quickly...
“Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”
Hemos hablado de esto toda la semana que Jesús volverá a nosotros rápidamente ...
7 «Por tanto, Yo vengo pronto. Bienaventurado el que guarda las palabras de la profecía de este libro».
We have told you that Jesus died on the cross willingly, so that we could find forgiveness for our sins.
Os hemos dicho que Jesús murió en la cruz voluntariamente, para que pudiéramos encontrar el perdón de nuestros pecados.
The cross was the way that the punishment for our sins was paid. There was a price that had to be paid and Jesus accepted it willingly, knowing that he would be rejected, despised, betrayed, mocked, beaten, tortured and killed through the worst means possible.
La cruz fue la forma en que se pagó el castigo por nuestros pecados. Había que pagar un precio y Jesús lo aceptó voluntariamente, sabiendo que sería rechazado, despreciado, traicionado, burlado, golpeado, torturado y asesinado por los peores medios posibles.
God sent his son, Jesus, and Jesus agreed so that we could have this forgiveness. It was the only way to make us right so that our relationship with God could be restored.
Dios envió a su hijo, Jesús, y Jesús accedió para que pudiéramos tener este perdón. Era la única manera de enderezarnos para poder restablecer nuestra relación con Dios.
But Jesus rose again from the grave. He walked among the people for 40 days and then he ascended to heaven to be with his Father God.
Pero Jesús resucitó de la tumba. Caminó entre la gente durante 40 días y luego ascendió al cielo para estar con su Padre Dios.
Soon after God sent us the Holy Spirit to guide us and bind us to Christ and help us to take on the character of Christ.
Poco después Dios nos envió el Espíritu Santo para guiarnos y vincularnos a Cristo y ayudarnos a asumir el carácter de Cristo.
Ever since that day we have been waiting for Jesus to return. While almost 2000 years seems like forever to us, we know that God is working in this world and drawing people to know him and receive his son.
Desde aquel día hemos estado esperando el regreso de Jesús. Aunque casi 2000 años nos parecen una eternidad, sabemos que Dios está obrando en este mundo y atrayendo a la gente para que le conozca y reciba a su hijo.
Jesus told us “I am coming soon”. We are eagerly anticipating his return when God decides that the time is right.
Jesús nos dijo "vengo pronto". Esperamos con impaciencia su regreso cuando Dios decide que es el momento oportuno.

This time when Jesus comes, he will not arrive as a humble servant riding on an donkey.
Esta vez, cuando Jesús venga, no llegará como un humilde siervo montado en un burro.
He will come in all his majesty riding on the clouds for all to see. He will come as a king and he will be ready to fight a great war for this world.
Vendrá en toda su majestad cabalgando sobre las nubes para que todos lo vean. Vendrá como un rey y estará listo para pelear una gran guerra por este mundo.
14 These will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will conquer them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings. Those with him are called, chosen, and faithful.”
14 »Ellos pelearán contra el Cordero, pero el Cordero los vencerá, porque Él es Señor de señores y Rey de reyes, y los que están con Él son llamados, escogidos y fieles».
Jesus is the answer to the problems that we have in the world today.
Jesús es la respuesta a los problemas que tenemos en el mundo de hoy
We have learned all week long that Jesus will return bringing along with him the reward of salvation from the troubles that we experience in this world.
Hemos aprendido durante toda la semana que Jesús volverá trayendo consigo la recompensa de la salvación de los problemas que experimentamos en este mundo.
He has already paid the price and has saved us from our sin by giving us a way to God’s forgiveness.
Él ya ha pagado el precio y nos ha salvado de nuestro pecado dándonos un camino hacia el perdón de Dios.
Through salvation in Jesus Christ, we are also saved from the punishment of separation from God and the torment of those condemned to an eternity in Hell.
Mediante la salvación en Jesucristo, también nos salvamos del castigo de la separación de Dios y del tormento de los condenados a una eternidad en el Infierno.
We learned that only by turning from our sin and choosing to believe in Christ and follow his ways can we be saved.
Aprendimos que sólo podemos salvarnos si nos apartamos de nuestro pecado y optamos por creer en Cristo y seguir sus caminos.
One way we can do that is by praying to Jesus. I’m going to lead us through a prayer that we will all repeat together.
Prayer: Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I turn from my sin and accept you as my Lord. I believe in you and the work that you completed on the cross, where you died. Please forgive me and save me from my sin. Amen
Una forma de hacerlo es orar a Jesús. Voy a guiarnos a través de una oración que repetiremos todos juntos.
Oración: Jesús, sé que soy un pecador. Me alejo de mi pecado y te acepto como mi Señor. Creo en ti y en la obra que realizaste en la cruz, donde moriste. Por favor, perdóname y sálvame de mi pecado. Amén
If you prayed that prayer with me for the first time and you have never chosen to believe in Jesus before, then I welcome you as a brother or sister in Jesus Christ.
Si oraste esa oración conmigo por primera vez y nunca antes habías elegido creer en Jesús, entonces te doy la bienvenida como hermano o hermana en Jesucristo.
