Christians use the term “faith” to describe a reliance upon and trust in God.
Los cristianos utilizan el término "fe" para describir una confianza en Dios y dependenzia en el.
The Bible tells us what faith is and how it works...
1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. 2 For by it the men of old gained approval. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.
La Biblia nos dice qué es la fe y cómo funciona...
1 Ahora bien, la fe es la certeza de lo que se espera, la convicción de lo que no se ve. 2 Porque por ella recibieron aprobación los antiguos. 3 Por la fe entendemos que el universo fue preparado por la palabra de Dios, de modo que lo que se ve no fue hecho de cosas visibles.
There are two words here that are really interesting in the original Greek.
Hay dos palabras aquí que son realmente interesantes en el griego original.
The word here for “assurance” is hypostasis in the Greek and it is used to describe a legal document that effects the transfer of property and provides proof of ownership.
La palabra "certeza" es hipóstasis en griego y se utiliza para describir un documento legal que efectúa la transferencia de propiedad y proporciona una prueba de propiedad.
In our language, when we are talking about a vehicle, we would use the word “title” in this way. If we were talking about land or property, we would say “deed.”
En nuestro idioma, cuando hablamos de un vehículo, utilizaríamos así la palabra "título". Si habláramos de terrenos o propiedades, diríamos "escritura de propriedad".
Principle: Faith is our proof of purchase. Our faith also secures our ownership in God.
Principio: La fe es nuestra prueba de compra. Nuestra fe también asegura nuestra propiedad en Dios.
There is also the word “conviction” which is elenchos in the Greek language. This word is a courtroom word for “evidence.” When a trial attorney brings evidence against someone it is intended to prove their guilt or their innocence.
También existe la palabra "convicción", que en griego es elenchos. Esta palabra es una palabra de tribunal para "evidencia". Cuando un abogado litigante aporta pruebas contra alguien, lo hace con la intención de demostrar su culpabilidad o su inocencia.
Faith provides a proof that things not seen can be truthful and binding, just like verifiable evidence is in a court of law.

We believe that we are somehow mystically and supernaturally joined together with him in his sacrifice and he is with us.

Because of this we live our lives in this faithful way, aligning ourselves with God and changing the way that we do things. And we do this believing that God loves us and is involved in our lives because he loves us.

When we recognize and admit that we are sinful and we confess all our sins in prayer, we find ourselves ready for salvation.

To receive Christ, we must simply invite him into our life and begin to follow his ways. Jesus promised to give us a very special gift, his Holy Spirit, who will help us and encourage us to remain with Christ and do the works that God wants for us to accomplish.
Para recibir a Cristo, simplemente debemos invitarle a entrar en nuestra vida y empezar a seguir sus caminos. Jesús prometió darnos un don muy especial, su Espíritu Santo, que nos ayudará y animará a permanecer con Cristo y hacer las obras que Dios quiere que realicemos.

God forgives our sins and gives us the Holy Spirit to put us in a training program to learn how to live the life that he wants for us to have.
Dios perdona nuestros pecados y nos da el Espíritu Santo para ponernos en un programa de entrenamiento para aprender a vivir la vida que Él quiere que tengamos.
With Jesus we always have some place to go with everything that is happening in our lives.
...siempre tenemos un lugar adonde ir con todo lo que sucede en nuestras vidas.

We pray to God and / Oramos a Dios y

I told you earlier that faith can give us proof that we belong to Christ.
Antes les dije que la fe puede darnos la prueba de que pertenecemos a Cristo.
We can have confidence in knowing that our faith is something that will last forever.
Podemos tener la confianza de saber que nuestra fe es algo que durará para siempre.
We live our lives with this conviction, this certainty that our faith will shape us and make us into something pleasing and acceptable to God.
