Mark 10:46-11:11 Jesus comes as the son of David
In this passage of Jesus’ journey to Jerusalem where he will end his life in victory on the cross of calvary we can learn several things about what kind of King he is and will be
This is called the “Triumphant Entry” becuase of the praise recieved and the purpose for the trip

Son of David

The Eternal son of God
Matthew 22:41-46 What think ye of Christ
He was before David but came from David
Psalms 110 David calls the Messiah Lord
Even David was looking to the one greater than him
The cry for mercy from one of the citizens who needs help
The job of the king to protect and heal those within his kingdom
Those who trust in the King (Psalms 2) will be healed and helped
Thy Faith- faith in the King

Sight Giver

Leads all to follow him on the way to the cross
True discipleship that cause people to see
True discipleship that leads people to the cross
This has been the theme of Mark

Lowly King

Riding a colt that has never been used for labor
A sacrifice acceptable to God
