Do you have your Bibles? Please open to Psalm 135. Psalm 135.

This title, I have taken right there from the text in verse 6.

And I would think that to most that would read a title like that would say of course he does. Why would the Lord need permission from anyone?

But it's not so much a, a permission thing as much as it is a theological view of of what God can and cannot do. And yeah I remember in high school getting to a discussion and someone made the comment can can God make a rock too big for him to lift right? I've heard that one in construction too and I always give the same answer, absolutely.

Okay, what about the next day when he decides to lift it?

It doesn't make any sense. And, you know, you but I know that it's just it's one of those things that shoot in the dark cuz they want to find a pigeonhole, you know, that God can't do everything. Well, the simplest answer with our kids have learned that wonderfully in it time of Sunday school and Dan was going through with them. Has had a guy that everything inside of his character, who he is one thing you got. Can't do we know is what send, right? So he can technically can't do everything. But one thing we do know, that's what the God, but God wants to do. He dies. and I know it's it's hard unless I wanted to I have give herself a

AA step into the studies, I'd like to get into. I want us kind of study soteriology, which is the study of Salvation and talk about that. Because as I mentioned here is, we've had some folks that have visited in gotten into some discussions from visitors. But also some discussions outside of the church from people who are discussing about coming to the church. And it is very interesting, especially in this area view of of salvation but also the view of of when you step back from that, right? Because your view of of Salvation and your view of man and what man can and kind of do typically comes from this first part of who God has I have to sign today, who is God and if you were to ask that to people especially in in the Northeast area, you get quite the variety of answer. and it's not so much, even unchurched in church folks, you get a variety of Answers from church folks, and, and typically comes from as much as they may not want to admit to it, it comes from what they're taught in church, not from what they studied. because even as, Add discussions, as folks will make statements back to me. This is how they feel, or they don't like this. I asked them, you know, what, what do you base that upon? You know, what have you studied? What are you reading and found that this is, this is what it must mean because of this and it gets uncomfortable, but that's I think it it we need to get more and more uncomfortable in the sense of of knowing why we believe what we believe. Is there going to be places in the Bible? That good Godly men and women are in a disagree upon but yet have the same wonderful road to Heaven. Absolutely absolutely. I like his humor who said it, you know, that when we get to heaven, you all agree with me. Because we're all have the same mind of Christ so it's we know Christ will iron is at least things out for us. Why he doesn't make some things playing to most of this plane, right? And that's why we have a disagreement and I think it's healthy to wrestle these things in the scriptures. I think that key

a key reason we have such disagreements but also such conflicts in not our society, put in our homes is because there's a lack of discussion of scripture. The lack of discussion of down scripture because we're not reading it. I recently was listening to the sermon by Pastor that was asked to come and help and he typically will be asked to come and help this church at church. Find a pastor And he shared that the he said he'll do it but he comes there and he wants the Whiteboard and he sets it up and goes through in the first question. I asked them. How much time do you want your pastor to spend in the word of God?

Because on average across this nation is 20 to 30 minutes. For pastor.

The church said well I guess a couple hours maybe and you don't eat irons it all out. So you could see what he's trying to do. He wants to show them. How much time do you? What do you expect the pastor to do after? He's done the key things which to him is one, the study, the scripture to would be prayer, how much time you want to spend in prayer. And he's always remind him, remember this, this man is going to be a very key person to helping you guide your children to heaven. Do you want to make sure? This guy is is can do is to scripture. Say rightly handle the word of Truth.

and, It is something that yes, is as a pastor these things need to be done, but also it's just as men and women of God. We should be able to. We should be able to walk to the scriptures with folks and and be able to have deeper discussions. Not because of things that we've heard from somebody else, but because of the personal time, we've had with the Lord in her studies, so, I did, I did have plans and I was toying with the doing some Studies with Exodus. But the other day, I was listening to the Book of Exodus and going through it and I, I found this in my study Psalm 135 which halfway through, you'll see it pushes. Alright out there. So I think this is trying to Sprint through a good chunk of scripture like I did last week with you. That was, I think it went. All right. It was very that last week before, but I, I I want to be able to slow down for you this morning. So once I'm on 35, I think will be perfect. And the Psalms I think we forget to often as some I've asked, you know, you know, where where do you get your your grounding your, your, your confidence in what you teach and I still have most of the passes stuff. It's, it comes from the study of Psalms. I know I went to it a class and we did that a little group of going through in this positing, a book of the Bible for pastors and when we did, the book of Psalms, I was the only one that raised my hand. That was even attempting to teach through the book song of 40-plus pastures. I know it's it's not typically a month Baptist, you really will not find it. It's my Presbyterian brothers that I gleaned from when it comes to this, and it was Sinclair Ferguson and their Church down there, Derrick Thomas taking over. They do it on Wednesday nights that I've heard that, and I hooked it takes about three years to go through the whole book of Psalms. And they just love it and they've been they've done it three times and it's I love it. I really do. And you do you gain so much, understanding through the songs and it's also more. The top books of Jesus Christ quoted from And even I like this text and see Luke 24:44. It says, then he said to them. It's Priced. Right? These are my words that I've spoken to you, while I was still with you that everything written about me, in the law of Moses, and the prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.

it's a book that for whatever reason I think because there's some really uncomfortable text in this all that passes will stay away from on a Sunday morning but to me, I like that. I like wrestling through these things and especially with you. And I like as I mentioned last week, the songs are just so real. So real, I mean, when you're in the nitty-gritty, you're going through the hard times. Yes, reading through the New Testament, passage and stuff. I guess some things are nice but there's something sweet about the Psalms and you get in there and you're digging and it's just getting real and saying God where are you things? That you wouldn't think that God would make sure spend down for you to say right from the scriptures. God where are you in this time? And I need you here now.

Pain down for us. So things will be good for those those against and I'm going to read through. So I'm on 35. Please stay with me and let's read the text and then we'll Go through.

Praise the Lord, praise the name of the Lord. Give praise o Servants of the Lord, who stand in the house of the Lord, in the course of the House of argon, praise the Lord. The Lord is good thing to his name. For it is Pleasant for the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself Israel as his possessed, his own possession right now with the Lord is great and then our Lord is above all gods, whatever the Lord pleases he does in heaven, and on Earth in the seas and all the deeps. He it is who makes the clouds rise at the end of the Earth and who makes lightning for the rain and brings forth the wind from his Storehouse. It was who struck down the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and a beast, who in your miss, or Egypt sent signs and wonders against pharaoh, and all his servants, who struck down many nations, and killed Mighty Kings XI. Scion king of amorites, an Dog King of Bashan and all the kingdom of Canaan and gave their land as a Heritage, a Heritage To His People. Israel, your name, oh Lord, endures forever, your Renown. Oh Lord. All throughout all ages. For the Lord will vindicate, his people and have compassion on his servants. The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of human hands. They have Mounds but do not speak. They have eyes, but do not see. They have ears, but do not hear nor is there any breath in their mouths? Those who make them become like them. So do all who trust in them. Oh, House of Israel bless the Lord O House of Arryn bless the Lord House of Levi, bless the Lord. You who fear the Lord bless the Lord blessed, be the Lord from Zion. He who dwells in Jerusalem, praise the Lord. Is that a quick word of prayer? Thank you. Father. So much. This time, I thank you for your word and Lord. I do ask that you would have me speak what you want, spoken, teach us what we know. Not, we thank you for this time and we thank you for your word. Please Minister and guide us in there. Be anyone listening that they cannot find in themselves to praise and bless the Lord for you have not done a work in them. We ask that you would bring repentance and salvation to them today in Jesus, wonderful name. Amen. Thank you. May be seated.

So three points I have for us this morning here from the song and first is that he has chosen. Secondly, he did he's doing and he will do. And thirdly, he is worthy to be praised worthy to be praised, the song, the Praises in the beginning and end, but I want to discuss that there at the end cuz I think it'll be it's a great way for us to close. And so just start is he has chosen, he has chosen and and we see is right here. In a text is the vs12 three is just as freezing is in and I love that. The repetition of it. Now, he's the song, most likely. David is calling the people in your dragon. People inside, come on, praise the Lord. Praise the Lord just repetition and And it is trying to cause the people. But what I love is that it's not just a repetition without some meat, right? Because he, he repeats himself and he tells the people listen, we're going to do this or not, just doing this anymore. We're doing this in, where that did the house of the Lord. The courts of the House of our guys will likely there. In this is a song written for the time in the temple when it came together to worship. But then inverse for is a A Cause right? For the Lord has chosen Jacob from cell. For you could say Israel as his possession. Let me know that he says, Jacob and Israel. He's talking with the same people. Is that two different people, but it was two different names, right. It's Jacob's name was changed to Israel later on. But this here, these people are a chosen people in and when it comes to restarting the Old Testament, most will have an issue with this. Because there's there's so much there to see is Deuteronomy 7:6 and 74. You are a people. Holy to the Lord your God, the Lord your God has chosen you to be people for his treasured possession. Out of all the people who are on the face of the Earth and this is where right you can be proud. In the Lord wants to just drink your pride really quickly and say it was not because you were more in number than any other people that the Lord has set his love on you and chose you for you where the fewest of All Peoples, don't don't get all proud of yourself quickly, it was not anyting because of you write the Lord love. The Lord chose them but the Lord love them because he loved them. That's why. There's nothing in them. This is Dolores, chose them in there, and verse later on 10:15, same book Deuteronomy, it says, yet the Lord said his heart and love on your father's and shows their offspring, after them, you Above All Peoples as you are this day. They were a special people, right? Cuz when you look through it and in you study the Old Testament, you fine, if there's many nations, Wasn't like there was just, you know, two or three is your own this a few others, there's a lot of Nations on this Earth in that time. And God is, is working and doing this. And even as he says, they're right, he's done that. He's chosen them and he has his own possession. Is it's a personal thing as a special thing. The end. It is a sweet thing to think about when, when you understand that someone asked, why why would God choose them? And that others will, he doesn't give us a cyst. Keep this as a reason. But for us to understand, think that will we go Steelers lineup? It's not fair. Cuz why didn't he just choose everybody? But then, it's not Grace, right? Everyone deserved to be left the whole world deserve to be left. When Adam and Eve committed that sin against God. God had every right to just say it's all yours.

But in his grace, he provides a way. Right? And even there in the garden immediately he provides clothes. He does remove them from the garden. He does curse, and it has a curse upon the land because of their sin, but he does immediately provide. But then he also promises that that there will be provision for this sin and for the sins of everyone. But it is not only there will be provision from him but he will bring it how through them. Do you allow them to be part of this Redemptive work that he is going to do for the people through their seat. Which then was sakes you, how could he do that? How can you how can you be so confident that through that seat? Because it wasn't like as likely very likely Adam and Eve believe their first kids are going to be Right and got handles that for them really quickly. It doesn't he write as one murders. The other one, Okay, this is not going to work out, right? This isn't what they were. They were thinking like late very quickly. We've got a real major mess in her hands. But it is. It's that God wait. So how's things of yours? Before he brings Christ there. Because certain things needed to happen. 12 crucifixion wasn't even invented yet. And that was planned in the scriptures that he was going to be crucified died upon a tree. It wasn't there yet. B, there are so many things that we look at that. God was orchestrating working but then also, we have to understand that in order for that to happen, God needs to be what sovereign

we can have a guy that rolls the dice, right? And I'm pretty confident that later on, he'll be able to bring his son there, or hoping he knew because he told them that I will bring the see through you. Emory look at Israel, right? There's nothing about is your like heavy table. They were Mighty and strong know, they were very wise and they always made the right decision when God, get them to the right spot at the right place, and then they would always teach their children and it was always just passed on well. Now, I know again. Like you look at these people feel like God, it wasn't a lack of options on the Earth. Right? There was a lot of people And Paul even deals with that right in Corinthians. When he reminds them like, you know, you were the weakest, you didn't charge choose that the wise people, this world is that he chose the fools so that he could bring shame and he could challenge the wise. Cuz the wise couldn't say, well, you're just so much smarter than I am. That's why you figure this out. You couldn't say that.

Give me a quote, from Spurgeon says this. Election is one of the most forcible Arguments for during love. Chosen chosen unto himself who can be grateful enough for being concerned in this privilege? Jacob, have I loved such a hobo and he gave no reason for his love except that he chose to lot. Jacob had the had been done neither good nor evil yet. That's the Lord Turman at. Dusty's, fake it is, if it be said that the, that the choice was made upon foresight of Jacob's character. It is, it is perhaps even more remarkable, where there was little enough about Jacob. They could deserve special Choice by Nature. Jake, it was by no means that most lovable man know it was Sovereign Grace, which dictated the choice. Because you you you follow the life of Jacob.

Wouldn't be the one that you likely with use.

And even as the Lord chastens it, right? Because that's, that's the biggest difference between Jacob, nice. Alright, Esau is left. He does come out doing well in his life. But the one thing you notice about Jacob is the Lord is constantly after him. Constantly after even appoint. Right, we find it. You can just imagine it's right. Guy showing up and physically wrestling Jacob.

That's our guy. Literally physically showing up because this is what Jacob needed and, and then leaving Jacob with a bum leg for the rest of his natural life. So he can remember this day that he wrestled. And fought to be corrected. Somerset with what does God do that today? Does God come in? She like what you don't have to talk to? Maybe this is not a question. You bring to a new Christian but you talk to someone who's known the Lord a long time. And ask them does the Lord chasing you in your life? Does a lord bring things in your life that you could see that God allowed this because you needed it. They would say Hall, yes. Oh yes. And then what's so amazing about it is that even as the Lord allows these things and in Works in his chosen people He brings these conflicts, these trials our way, but he is ever more present in those times, isn't he?

We met in the flesh feel like it, but when we come out of it, we look back and say, wow, was he ever there? Because if he wasn't, I never would have got through it at all. So here it is in it and you'll Testament in Psalms, and Deuteronomy what with me over to Ephesians 1 to save your spot. There's for come back to Psalm 135. Flip over with me to Ephesians rather put on the slides because of so many verses. I just I wanted to you to follow me and for you to know a spot you can mark it if he's just one person Street at 12. Very similar to what we're eating here in the the psalter and also very similar to what we heard there. And Deuteronomy says, first Reese's blessed. Be the God, and father of our Lord. Jesus Christ to his Blessing Christ, with every spiritual blessing, in the Heavenly places. Even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and blameless before him in love, he predestined us for adoption as Sons through Jesus Christ. According to the purpose of his will to the praise of his glorious Grace with, which he has blessed us in the Beloved, in him. We have Redemption through his blood, the Forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished Upon Us in all wisdom and insight making known to us, the mystery of his will according to his purpose which he set forth in Christ, as as a plan, for the fullness of time to unite, all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. Verse 11 in him, we have a pain and inheritance having been predestined. According to the purpose of him who works, all things according to the council as well. So that we who were the first to Hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.

Me all of this was done. We see that in Christ right here. That a lot there in Christ. How is he providing this? How is he doing this? In Christ through Christ in him contact Christ. Before that men, when was this done before the foundations of the world? He figure these things out, he chose them, he chose us, he chose the children of God. And he does this because he loves them. This is was so sweet was as we go and we we witness and we try to draw people in 22, the fellowship to the family of God and we can with confidence as a step away go and pray for their soul. Right.

This is where I often times when I had discussions with people, this is where it'll get a little uncomfortable because I asked him when you when you depart from a person that you're witnessing and talking to them. How do you pray for them? You pray that God would work and soften them so that they will make the right choice. Or do you? Pray that God? Will you go in there? And reveal yourself and show them against their will that you are the best way. And the only way, right? How do you want them to despres? And at times, it's right. Maybe in the beginning your talk is versing you pray that, but but if it's a loved one, a deer Law Firm. You pray that God would come in there? I mean, even when you think about it is as pictures given to us in excess in, in Jeremiah the New Covenant to work, it talks of what a old heart rate of Stony. Heart is taken out in the in the heart of flesh is put in.

I've dealt with a lot of stuff at Adelaide, and in a lot of things are very comfortable for us, and in things like last night, having to change her trach and put things into that. But, I'm not swapping out a heart. Only thing I've ever seen that is, is is on TV, right? Do you watch something like that? It's not something like, it's not a drive-through, right? It's not a what they would call an outpatient surgery, right? You just stopping in the morning so I thought your heart you go home in the afternoon. It's a major thing. major thing when you think about it and as we witnessed talk to people in and they said that I have changed and I'm a new person, but yet you have conversation with them and you find You're telling me this is change, right? Did the guy came into your life? And it's such a minor thing went. When he say he took out a Heart of Stone and put our deflect, there will be a work of happening. It'll be evident obvious that you once were a child of this World. The Flesh and the devil. And you now very much are a child of God.

Because you think about it, it's your own children, right? There is things about them. There is things about their children that is evident obvious that they are your kids. Especially when they're younger, right? They say and do things that you wish they didn't in public, right? It's funny at home. And but then, when they do in public and people look at you, and they remember you, when you were younger and say that's definitely your get, I've got hurt a few of those ones. I'll be honest, right? That's definitely your kid.

They act like you. They talk like you, they may walk like you They look like you. Bad to happen to me the other day with Adelaide. Some urgent errand was holding her. I was not even near them. I was asking cuz I know they lock the bathrooms and all but he's just crazy to me to get code to get into the bathrooms at Panera Bread, lady walks up and looks over and over there. And she looks just like you.

They look like you.

Can you become a chosen of God? It's, it's something that why, why would why would God do it this way to go? If you look great in Ephesians, right? Why would he do this? Why does he do it in this way? Right? Look at look at verse. 84 by Grace, you can save most even though it is through faith, it is not your own doing. It is a gift of God. Why not a result of work so that what? No one can boast. You can't boast. You can brag to listen, Hi Neighbor. They are just not as smart as me. They are smart as me. They would chose Jesus. You can't do that. Because he chose you why nothing in you, he loves you because he loves you. He does this. What else do we see? Go back to someone 135. Is he does he did? He's doing, and he will do what he wants. Verse 6 is plainly tells it to you, right? You can get any simpler than this whatever the Lord pleases he does. Not only where it says right in heaven, right? All, of course, on Earth and then he goes even further in the season and all the deeps, right? That you can't say that there's a spot that the Lord doesn't have control over.

Denver7. He it is who makes the clouds rise. At the end of the Earth, who makes lightning for the rain and brings forth the wind from his storehouse. Again, let me give you a quote from Spartacus. Our theology teaches us. No such as such degrading, Notions of the Eternal as that he can be baffled by man. His purpose shall stand and he shall do all his pleasure. No region is too high. No Abyss too deep. No land to distant no. See too wide for his omnipotence, his Divine pleasure travels post over all the realm of Nature and his behest our day.

Which we see that, right? And we teach our children as we walked to the Old Testament, see your God, purpose for Exodus for. I love that. He puts them there at the Red Sea and tells them. It says Moses, when they set, their can't tell them to look at the Red Sea do this. So they could look at the water, right? No. Because he had intentions already that I'm, that's where you're going. That's where you going. How the Lord know that because he's God. And he purposely makes it so the Egypt chases after them and he deals with Egypt so that they could never chase after them again. He promised listen, I'm going to do this. So what did he do with the will of pharaoh is he hardened his heart purposely so that it keeps going after Egypt and that so there would be so much hatred that as the sea is split open. There's a there's a Israelites going across dry land. Not this foolish science thing right? There was a lunar eclipse and it'll pull thing in the water came back, okay. Go to the ocean and every time the tide goes out. You're not taking granny and the horse wagon across that day. It's a soggy wet mess. It said dry land. Okay. There's no scientific explanation except that God said. That's it. Split Dryland gets them across and as I get across here it is. Right there. They likely terrified is Egypt, comes ripping across and they're thinking, oh my goodness.

This, is it going to follow us as the last one? And close to the water pump. So, I never have to deal with me yet.

Keep going, cuz you'll have you asked you? This is real. Take what a day or two before they start complaining that gets us. Some water to have problems a guy that can split the sea and cause trial, and can't handle, bitterwater course you can't, but that's just like ostrich, isn't it? They get you through the greatest conflict and problem and pain in your life. And six months later. You've got a stubbed toe and you thinking got us it. I'm done it. You can't do this. I can't I can't live with this. He can you help me here?

He can do this, he can work and we can pray mightily against the very will of man that man will desire to do these things and we can pray God, you come and change Psalm 115. 36, our God is in the heavens, he does all that he pleases. Zechariah 10:1, ask rain from the Lord in the season of the spring rain from the Lord, who makes the storm clouds and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field. The Calvin says this all readily allow that God is the author of rain thunder and wind in so far as he's originally established his order of things in nature, but the psalmist goes farther than this holding that when it rains, this is not affected by a blind. Instinct of nature. What is the consequence of the decree of God? Who is pleased that one time, too dark in the sky with clouds and to brighten it, again, with sunshine? I mean, he even talks to hear that he makes the lightning.

Details. if God knows the hairs on your head, For some of us is easier, okay? But he could do these things and he's our God is a god of the details, right? And there is just the science behind us and stuff and discussing what, this isn't how it happens and how it reacts. We can do that, we can look at learned, it's good right now. It's okay good, man, that's good. Thanks. But ultimately, we looked at it to the person to say it but my guy did that. But then you said, okay, yes great. We teach the kids about the storm until the storm comes and takes your house away. Then what do you tell your kid?

God, does it all?

He's behind me since he's working his things he does. Eat he. Yes I'll bring storms, he will bring troubles, he will bring, but he also will bring protection at times, right? Go through Exodus. I loved going through. But halfway through those are stories that you read as a kid and there they are. Just as fun, if not more fun as an adult reading through them because you catch these little details, right? And in your kids did to, you know, like when he brings the darkness upon them. Right? And all of Egypt is dark, but there is light over the Israelites are how in the world. Did he do that? I mean, I know they got talent but like you know like rain lines I can. How do you physically do that? It is just dark and it can you imagine if you're sitting there with your candles looking over there at their lights are on, but how come they got light over there? Their God gave them like, what don't? We have one of those guys that has the controls the light. What's going on here? They have one job and he's doing everything whatever went when he brings a pestilence to bring their problems and all their animals die. But none of the Israelite animals die.

He can't do these things, but the problem is it, if you have a God that's that has to work around around man. It only a can't come against manly, we have to make sure he still has options and choices and privileges here. No, no, my guy doesn't ask. He doesn't pick. You cannot come in. No.

He does purposely at times. he will knock at the door times but other times you just shows up He's there. Then I have a guy that I can pray to and cry out to and cigar listen, the nation is coming against me gone. They're telling me to do other than what, I believe you want me to be doing with my family with the church with these things. God handle them. Please Lord.

Take this Choice away from them, do what you need to do, but Lord no matter what, give me the strength to press through this and if you still choose protect me through it, right? You can pray like that. You got at your brother or sister relative. I'm talkin that doesn't know the Lord. You can pray, God, go. Where they are. You may not even know where they are. Interrupt whatever they're doing right now, God and Let Your Presence be felt and I know God. It will be uncomfortable. God, they need heart surgery. It's not comfortable Church.

but, you know, It's worth it, right? That's what the doctors tell you it, right? This is horrible thing. It is I mean I know some doctor to talk like it's cuz they do it so often right? It will just pull it out and then they bring it right before you go into surgery. Drives me crazy like with Adelaide, right? No, big deal. We do this every day. We do like 6 or 7 all week if that is okay fine then they leave and then to bring the person in here when you just sign off on all these things that can happen, right? It's like a CVS receipt and get a sign off at the end that no one's going to be liable. That's the whole works of God.

That's what I got in total control of all these things.

So that means we won't have any problems. The Lord never said that. He says, he'll be with you.

They were disciples when they got in the storm. Jesus is Lily in on the boat, right? And what's he doing? He's rocking away like a baby. Right is love and he likes to high tide in the waves when he's taking a nap.

They're freaking out thinking. You imagine it right? And even ourselves as Christians, we find ourselves doing it and cry out. Where are you? This is Kimmy so horrible and then you find out. It really wasn't that big of a deal and you feel silly as an adult and as a Christian and cry out the God and you find out, they really wasn't that bad.

Here's the disciples freaking out in. Jesus is literally sitting in the boat.

They should just cuddle up next to him like I mean if it's going to go down it's going to go down with him. I mean house safer can we be right? He's physically here in the boat.

Here it is. Does what he wants but what is it? How does the world react Church? Look at verse 15. Now, I'm sorry for State start, their birthday. This is the guy we have, he who struck down the firstborn of Egypt. He took the firstborn children of Egypt, right? He promised them that he would do this. He had ate a plan to do this. To take that from them, both of man, and the Beast, who in the mist of Egypt, cents signs, and wonders against pharaoh, and all his servants Wright. Showed them. As every time they did something, what would happen? The Magicians would come in and try to replicate it. And there was many times, they did they did are able to replicate it. Like the frogs is one, right? I love it. It is. Our God brings all these frogs and toads, frogs everywhere, they worship frog, so they can't do, you know, you can't kill your God right now. You got a problem, come on, buddy, you know, you can't score some but then the magician say all we can do that and they bring in more frogs, right? Is there was like, this is good right now, get rid of them, destroy the magician's 20, we don't know how to do that. That's our God, right? He allows them to bring in more frogs, but he won't allow them to get rid of them.

Reading is stupid. Lord, I can't wait to get to heaven. Like this is this is so good. God, you

Anna Faris play. Can you please get rid of the frogs? Sure, tomorrow And what is he doing? He just left a multi really are. Oh my goodness to smell. That must have been Right. Unless I'm staying and I'll know more coming out. Now, I got that frogs everywhere. Still doesn't want to listen.

And he struck down these nations. He took out these people, he handle them as there was mighty mighty people. Here's the Israelites coming out of Egypt, right? These people were trained and ready to go. Ready to do battle, right? No, these guys are just living on the land enjoying life Farm in and telling you guys were warriors to go out the battle. And God says, listen, I'm going to take you out of here. We're going to go through some treacherous area. Some rough places in as you go along. There's going to be some mighty Nations that I'm going to have you take over and you can have their stuff. And they would quickly be all respond how he says, I'm going to be there with you. I mean, I'll read it for you, access 3:17, and I'll have an industrial, and I promise that I will bring you up out of the Affliction of Egypt, to the land of the Canaanites, the hittite samarite, the perizzites, the hivites, and the jebusites in a land flowing with milk and honey. But you hear that is Moses like telling them in Aaron. He was having a conversation with the leadership and they're like, We we do, we like bricks. We don't fight. The guy said I'm going to fight for you. The God, we serve it. That says, listen, I'm going to have you go into this area, but then how does the world react? But the world reacted there they were, is Egypt, did they? Did they repent and turn as they saw that? God has a more powerful God. Church. They said they did everything they could to get rid of them didn't want these children of God around them anymore, just getting rid of them then the problems will go away.

No saying like, listen, our guys, obviously, they're no good. They're God obviously stronger. Let's give these things up. Know, they reacted. The same thing we see today church, when we see God coming to work in a person's life and you say off boy, pass UA. 14 Mi road. So it comes out of this situation. They are going to see the lawyer, they're going to, and then you talk to me to go out with thanks, but now, I'm going back. Why? God could not have revealed himself more here. I mean, are you serious? Yeah, but I don't want you. Thanks for the prayers. Thanks for getting me out of the the ditch.

And they go even farther right? Verse 15, the idols of nations are silver and gold works of human hands. They have Mouse, but do not speak to have eyes, but do not see. They have ears, but do not hear nor is there any breath in your mouse? People go and make their own Gods. Here's the God showed himself in verses 8 to 12 takes these people. Just shows himself off to the people. Then brings a small group of labourers and says they could do labor. They could do the the tasks that are given to them but they're not Mighty Warriors, two Nations who have armies and ready to fight and we're fighting for fun to fight. And he's going to take him in and wipe out their lands with these people and give their land over to them.

How do they react? They just keep making their idols. Carving them out of wood, making them out of stone. Making them out of metals.

What happened to these people Verse 18 has those who make them become like them. The people who make them come, just like them and then it goes even farther and so do all who trust in them.

Teachers, that's what's frustrating as you go and witness to a person who has faith in the things of this world has faith in the, in the wood. In the end if their love is their purse, their love is their wallet that love is date. They just want to build your own little nation. And you say how come they can't hear these things right here.

Why can't they articulate this? And it, tell me what's going on right here. How come they can't hear me when I speak these things to him? Right here? They become just like them. And not even they may not be the physical one who's making these gods and and putting their faith and trust in you say, or making you think the crate the pass on, they may be only the ones who put their faith and trust in them. And God says, I will still allow them to become just like that. You want those things? You want the world? You want things? I have eyes and ears but can hear tell of this dispersion, it seems that these Heathen gods are dumb. Blind and deaf, a pretty bundle of infirmity to be found in a deity. They are dead. No sign of Life. Imperceptible and breathing, which is the essence of animal life. They never knew, right? Even an animal has the ability to these things. Not tell a man waste his breath and is crying to an idol, which has no breath. So a man, waste his breath and prying too, and I don't, which has no bread. Sorry, and she'll live OfferUp petitions to death. Barely. This is a turning of things upside down.

This is what they they trust in. And God gives them over to exactly what they want. Romans talks about that. Romans one, right? He just, he hands them over. If that's the frustrating part is is when you come up on people who are going to a church but teaching their you know it's just way off in left field. It's not right. It's not how can you miss these things but it's exactly what the person wants Church. Oftentimes

This is this is what they want.

God gives them over to you snakes. And that's why it's frustrating as as, as a person when you are trying to as a child of God and witnessing and preaching these people you say, how can they become? So deep in these things is because the Lord continues to let them go.

Because they're not. His children. If they were his children. Let me tell you. They'll come after. Just like her own kids, right?

Our kids could do some of the most horrific things to us.

Say some of the most horrible things.

But we know that that door will be open when they did it open again.

Think it, confess the worst thing I just did in their life.

And will hug him and love him because they're ours.

There are we love them.

Is our God, he's chosen them, not because of any specific in them and I love the example of Jacob, because Jacob, is it just a silly young man? Silly older, man a mess of a life?

But God can use and work in that because he is able because he did he's doing and he will do everything that he wants to do. All these things will work out, right? According to his will all these things work out to his pleasure, all these things would bring glory to him. I mean, someone say that. Well, the reason God can write the end of the book is because he seen the future, it's not just cuz he's seen the future, because that wouldn't be enough, right? Really, when you think about it, just seeing the future. How does that help you? If I were to show you that in in 5 years from now, you're going to be at this place. But never told you in between there would not drive you absolutely bonkers.

How would that help you?

But if I told you here's the future and I am fully in control and know exactly what needs to be done, so that you end up there.

You may disagree.

But I promise you, I can get you there every time.

It's a lot of battery. That's our God. Able to do the same able to work. They saying able to use even our our foolish decisions that he he allows us to go out these but he can guide us right back there in five. In an often, he's times that we go, our path is his ways that he is making us into better men and women of God.

So therefore because of this because he's chosen because he's doing because he's working. You can close with easily. First one. Praise the Lord.

The world was does not think that's the world will not say they world. When I say praise the Lord, I don't like this. I don't like a guy like this. I want a guy that sounds like Santa Claus. I want a guy that sounds like the genie in the bottle, like an aladdin. It gives me the wishes that I want.

Is that a god?

Even if you think about these these gods that the people worship Daylily are the cuz they they created them. They can't talk. They talk for them.

We can praise the lord. We can also not just praise the Lord, with the Sabres won. Praise the name of the Lord. We praise who he is.

Based upon the scriptures that we learn and study and read. We praise you, we live. So servants. Give praise. Remember that. That's who you are, Church. Yes, we are. Children were also servants. We serve him. It's not the ladder. We don't tell God what to do as the world would say coming. Can you do know I plead my case before the Mighty God and trust that he will do it? What needs to be done?

First two who stand in the house of the Lord in the cord to the house. I got this area those who come together Gather together in the name of the Lord, you stand there, you, you're in the courts. Do this verse 3, praise the Lord. For why?

He's good.

People ask that? How do you know? I mean, The Lord does this. And that and doesn't seem like what he's not going to know. He is good. So you can just trust, I mean, you could sign a blank page, the Lord only it because he's a good guy, even knowing he's going to bring conflicts in your life yet, but they're going to be good conflicts. What? Pease articulate, even if it ends with your life. If it if you die. Have you read Hebrews?

Right? We talked about the cool stories but what about the end of Hebrews? Or people are stretched sawed into he says the Earth itself, the Earth itself did not deserve to have such a people here. If you got to switch the View Church,

the Lord could not wait to have them with him. The world thought. What they were doing would cause them to turn on their God.

But God, as you read the stories, write you read that. The times of the, the burnings of these people seeing how in the world. Could you sing in a fire?

but if you know, There's a God there. if you know, you're going to a guy,

could could God be there in that paints that he allows them not to feel much of it, possibly

The church that the fact is the body is able to at times, it just shuts it out when you focus look at Stephen, as he's being Stone. Right, there is a deacon goes and preaches is one and only message, right? And then he's done, they offer because I can't stand his preaching from the word. Is he just? He just reminded them of their fathers and what they come from. And here's Christ who is now for filling these things, they don't want to hear it. I'm going to shut them up by killing him.

This is his face shine, like an angel. I just looked to the heavens. In Christ, himself allowed him to get a glimpse into heaven. And Christ himself. Christ himself. Got off the seat in heaven. To receive. His servant. To receive his child. Did you read through? About the Pharaohs about the Kings. Even the guys who are there, quote Buddy's in in, you know, cupbearers. They don't have that kind of, right? And they don't get out of their seat to go out of their way for them, never. Never.

We have a god.

Who does this and works and end shows up in such a way. But the truly church, as you get to know God, it's will be so much easier for you to be as it says in 19, through 21 it right? O House of Israel. Bless the Lord. House of Arryn bless the Lord House of Levi. He's calling the people, he's calling the leadership and now he calls out the priest. He's calling him off listen and then he ends it right there brings all together. Everyone else, right? You who fear the lord? You don't find yourself in one of those three camps you who fear the lord. Bless the Lord.

Spurgeon again. Think of him with love admire him with hardiness and then extol him with a drawer. Do not only magnify the Lord because he is God but study his character and his doings and sauce render intelligent appreciative. Praise

I mean, when you start out as a Christian, it will be just because he redeemed, you and he's God. But your church, I pray that you are getting to know him more and more and you're able to praise him because of your intelligent appreciation of who he is. But even as you say, praise the name of the Lord is not just is in the English. It's just named, you're just throwing it out there but because you know who he is. That you can that, you can honestly praise him because, you know, he is ever-present because, you know, he is all-powerful because you know, that he can do whatever he wants to do. That you don't need to to be terrified in the sense that as the world may get really bad, we haven't seen that in our lifetime. It is rough around the world but it's not in our backyard. The church is you read through the history. The reason that the church did so well, is because they lean on who their God was, right, the stories to read to the kids of Shadrach Meshach Abednego, right? Even if God let them go, They were fine with that if I was going to let them die in the furnace then so be it. But they would be still confidently and boldly. Proclaiming who got it? Do do we have many like that? No, there wasn't many like that back. Then church.

Should there be many like that today? Yes, because of the New Covenant because of the new work that he's doing. Because of new work that he did. Based upon the scriptures, we should see more and more who called himself children of God because of the the work of God in their life, they should be more evident obvious. There should be more boldness, but sadly church when you come have conversations, you find. So few who truly do know who got it,

I'm going to ask him. How is your scripture reading?

How is your prayer time?

What book are you swimming through today?

This is the greatest thing as parents, we can give to each other.

because they go through life, they need to know that they have a God who is God

but no matter what this world brings against them, they can call to a father, a heavenly father that is not forwarded Batman.

The gates of hell can come against the church shirt and it will not Prevail because we have a God who is more powerful? Has a full ability to change it all.

He promises. The every single one that he is given to his son, he will protect them and bring them through life on this Earth and give them to his son. Every single one.

That's pretty good. Father. Lord, I Thank you for your word and I thank you for this the song Lord night.
