Psalm 122:1 NLT
1 I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.”
Psalm 122 speaks about a Jerusalem & the temple of God “the House of the Lord”
the Pilgram sees the city and the temple in the distance, but it is not the physical aspects, but the gathering of the worshippers/ tribes of Israel
1 Peter 2:4–5 NLT
4 You are coming to Christ, who is the living cornerstone of God’s temple. He was rejected by people, but he was chosen by God for great honor. 5 And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests. Through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God.

It is a house for family

Jeremiah 32:37–39 NLT
37 I will certainly bring my people back again from all the countries where I will scatter them in my fury. I will bring them back to this very city and let them live in peace and safety. 38 They will be my people, and I will be their God. 39 And I will give them one heart and one purpose: to worship me forever, for their own good and for the good of all their descendants.
2 Corinthians 6:16–18 NLT
16 And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God said: “I will live in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they will be my people. 17 Therefore, come out from among unbelievers, and separate yourselves from them, says the Lord. Don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you. 18 And I will be your Father, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”

It is a multi generational house

Whenever the nation of Israel would gather for special occasions, such as feasts or celebrations, the entire community – all generations – would be present.
In Israel, all ages were not just included, they were drawn in, assimilated, absorbed into the community with a deep sense of belonging.”
Deuteronomy 29:10-12 when Moses spoke to Israel for the final time, 2 Chronicles 20:13 when Jehoshaphat called for a fast of the entire nation, and Nehemiah 8:2-3 and 12:43 when Ezra read aloud the book of the law and the entire community celebrated together.
Deuteronomy 29:10–11 NKJV
10 “All of you stand today before the Lord your God: your leaders and your tribes and your elders and your officers, all the men of Israel, 11 your little ones and your wives—also the stranger who is in your camp, from the one who cuts your wood to the one who draws your water—
Psalm 145:4 NKJV
4 One generation shall praise Your works to another, And shall declare Your mighty acts.
Psalm 78:1–4 NKJV
1 Give ear, O my people, to my law; Incline your ears to the words of my mouth. 2 I will open my mouth in a parable; I will utter dark sayings of old, 3 Which we have heard and known, And our fathers have told us. 4 We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.
Acts 2:17–18 NLT
17 ‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. 18 In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants—men and women alike— and they will prophesy.

It is a unified house

Ephesians 4:1–6 NLT
1 Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. 2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. 3 Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. 4 For there is one body and one Spirit, just as you have been called to one glorious hope for the future. 5 There is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all, in all, and living through all.
John 17:11 NLT
11 Now I am departing from the world; they are staying in this world, but I am coming to you. Holy Father, you have given me your name; now protect them by the power of your name so that they will be united just as we are.
Psalm 133:1–3 NKJV
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments. 3 It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing— Life forevermore.
