An encouraging reality that we see in the Bible, especially in Joseph's life, is that God has a plan that He is working out in this world. This is oftentimes referred to as God's providence. In Genesis 40, we learn to see God's providence in the good, God's providence in the bad, and God's providence in Jesus.
