In using our Spiritual gift, Romans 12:8-11
he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
Maturing, Hebrews 6:10-12
For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

As a chosen race, we are to proclaim the virtue of God, Who called us out of darkness, 1 Peter 2:9
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
We are given all things pertaining to life and godliness through the full experiential knowledge Him, who called us by a proper opinion and virtue, 2 Peter 1:3

as His divine inherent ability has given to us all things pertain to life and godliness, through the full experiential knowledge of Him who called us through a proper opinion and virtue
Virtue is a behavior and attitude that show a high moral standard.
Our virtue comes from who we are in Christ
Our virtue is living out the promises God gave us

We, being full of goodness are to be filled with all knowledge, Romans 15:14

Knowledge alone can puff up, 1 Corinthians 8:1
Now concerning things offered to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.

We are to grow in grace and knowledge, 2 Peter 3:18
but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The controlling of one’s desires
An aspect of the fruit of the Spirit, Galatians 5:23
gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.
Paul reasoning about self-control before Felix, Acts 24:25
Now as he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was afraid and answered, “Go away for now; when I have a convenient time I will call for you.”
Knowledge can puff up so self-control is important to now destroy a brother through out actions, Romans 14:15
Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died.
Giving up our freedoms to not violate another Christians’ conscience, Romans 14:23
But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.

Patience is a long holding out under circumstances
We can show a proper opinion of God through our patience, Romans 5:3
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;
Patience is based upon hope, Romans 8:25
But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.
The things written before this dispensation are for our learning that we may be patient, Romans 15:4
For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.
We are to pursue patience, 1 Timothy 6:11
But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.
There is a time for all things, Ecclesiastes 3:1
To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven:

Godliness is a good reverence towards God as the life of a Christian manifests the life of God
The mystery of Godliness, 1 Timothy 3:16
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness:
God was manifested in the flesh,
Justified in the Spirit,
Seen by angels,
Preached among the Gentiles,
Believed on in the world,
Received up in glory.
Godliness with contentment is great gain, 1 Timothy 6:6-10
Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
True Godliness has nothing to do with money, 1 Timothy 6:5
useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.
It does not involve neglecting or training the body for religious purposes- such as Lent, Colossians 2:23
These things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.
It involves discerning information to be learned from information that is to be practices, 1 Timothy 4:7-8
But reject profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise yourself toward godliness. For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.

Brotherly love is a more affectionate, friendly type of love
Involves honoring others, Romans 12:10
Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;
Is to continue among the brethren, Hebrews 13:1
Let brotherly love continue.
A manifestation from the purifying of the soul in obedience, 1 Peter 1:22
Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,

This type of love seeks the best for the one loved
It is one of our commandments, John 13:34
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.
By our love for other saints, all will know we are Christ’s disciples, John 13:35
By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
