A Profession from the Lord
The importance of knowing who Jesus the Christ is has never been greater than the current space we are in.
Rise in Religious nones and decline in Christianity
In a recent article an artist known as Plum who used to sing songs to a God of truth, justice, mercy, and love professed her devotion to Jesus, now is on a path to deconstruct Christianity.
In her statement, she declares she is now able to ask questions she once was terrified of asking.
While I question who discipled her one resounding issue arises… Pulpits across the country are abandoning the call to preach truth especially when preaching truth will cost them their fame.
People such as the Franciscan Priest Richard Rohr are now intent of deconstructing what he profess is a post-Constantine Christianity that has oppressed the people of God.
His vision is more akin to New Age spiritualism and hedonism that promotes the self as God in its most succinct tenets defies Jesus and professes:
1. Redefining Sin (Placing us as divine only having forgotten somehow we are divine)
2. Denial of Absolute Truth (Relativism over Absolute Objective truth and morality)
3. Acceptance of Jesus.
denial as Him being the only way to salvation ( We can Save ourselves and are not in need of Him) Sacrificing Jesus is tantamount to Child Abuse
4. Denial of the authority of the Bible
5. It’s all about me.
(Jesus when He says I am the way the truth and the light no one comes to the father except through ME is a reference not to Himself but we have the ability.
