Intro

Slide - Giving Video
You know giving has a practical helpfulness in meeting real needs like paying our staff and funding our mission, but meeting our needs isn’t the primary purpose. In fact, what the Apostle Paul was thanking the Philippian church for helping him out on multiple occasions he said, in Philippians 4:17.
Philippians 4:17 M:BCL
Not that I’m looking for handouts, but I do want you to experience the blessing that issues from generosity.
Our giving meets real needs, but the blessing bounces back. We grow in our faith, our joy, and our closeness with God when we prioritize giving.

Instruction

SLIDE 2 - Instructions
If you would like to join us in worship through giving, instructions are in your pew, or at valleychapel.org/give.
We don’t pass a plate or expect one another to physically give something every Sunday because many of us give monthly, automatically online, or some other time during the week. You can give whenever it is meaningful and helpful for you, even if it is not during the worship service.

Prayer

Nonetheless, there is something deeply spiritual about the physical act of giving. So instead of us all giving at the same time, let’s join together in a prayer to offer our giving to God in a spirit of unity.
SLIDE 3
LEADER: Gracious God, You call us to let go of the things we cling to
ALL: To step out in faith, trusting in Your love and provision.
SLIDE 4
LEADER: Give us courage to step out boldly,
ALL: to plant our small seeds generously, and without fear.
SLIDE 5
LEADER: Use our gifts to accomplish more than we could possibly imagine,
ALL: so that, through us, Your kingdom might come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen
