Some mistakenly ascribe authorship of the book of Isaiah from this point forward to 1 or even 2 separate authors. They're right about one thing, though: the content and tenor is very different throughout the rest of the book. This new section begins with the Lord commanding His prophet to comfort the people of Israel, to prepare them for the difficult messages ahead; comfort we also can draw on today.
