Greetings and introductions

Good morning

I am so glad that you are here
We are into our 3rd year as a church
our mission that was started by about 8 people sitting around a table seeking direction
I pray that i never forget those days and those faithful that sat with us.

Celebration

We have 183 people that connect with us online
We had an amazing 70 people here with us at Easter in April
We moved to Subsplash and the ability for online giving
We were blessed with Jess, Berna and Brittany working in our children church
We performed our first baptism in a trash can of all things
We had our first spring clean up to keep the church clean — the side is still open LOL
We installed our sign
we got John to lead our worship
AV system improvement
We had a spaghetti dinner and Milo was preaching the Gospel to a lost man
And we had a man fall from our ceiling to bring the light into our study room - Praise that Michael was not hospitalized.

Journaling

We have gift for you today. Let us hand them out
Why should we journal:
it gives time to God
It centers us on HIM
It shows are progress in HIM
I truly believe that Christ is the God of the present and our FUTURE
but i believe that Christ uses the lessons of our past to shape us and remind us to push forward
Phil 3:14 “14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Pressing on takes training
Military basic training
training for a 5k
training for a job
I believe that a truth in all of these is that
Your beginning does not
define your finish
If you have ever started a new hobby be it running or knitting or woodwork or car restoration
where you started does NOT define your limits
you put in the time and learn and grow
Our growth in Christ is much the same....
No matter where you are today
you can move forward.
it WILL get tough you will get tired BUT
Gal 6:9 “9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
When i prayed through our missions for this year
I ask this question --- What Grew Me Closer?
showing up!!! making it a priority
setting a time - daily
having a plan
Doing the work
Write these down:
What time daily will I seek the Lord
one minute a day is over 6 hours a year
set a reminder on your phone
Smart small or if you are doing it already add a little more
Be prepared
have you Bible and your notebook, pen
if you are doing it already
add a commentary source like logos or blueletterbible
Seek community
Write a verse a day
Think ACTS
adoration, confession, thankful, supplication
i love to tell GOD what went RIGHT TODAY
Transformation comes from Trials
but we can get bogged down
focus on what went right --- focus on thankfulness and praise.
Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
I would suggest that you take time later today to write out these markers for next year
What am i worried about today
What am i thankful for
what am i hoping and praying for
Record them and then Review them in a year so you can see what God CAN do

What moved you to action today?
What are you going to commit today?
The Bible tells us before we take communion to spend some time with God in prayer

This is a time for BELIEVERS
if you are HIS then please take the cup and the wafer

Communion

Lets celebrate communion together.
1 Thes 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”
