Dumb Things Christians Should Avoid

I. Trying to be a 99% disciple of Jesus. (Mark 8:34-36; Gal. 2:20).

• Have I been crucified with Christ?

II. Expecting a single morning to equip me spiritually. (Acts 2:42-47; Heb. 10:24-25).

• Discipleship is a life-long varied, daily effort.

III. Using the Bible and prayer only in emergencies. (Psalm 119:105; 62:1-2; 63:1; Eph. 6:18).

• The Bible and prayer are my lifelines.

IV. Believing worship is about me. (Psalm 90:1-2; 92:1-2; 95:1-3; 96:1-3; Gal. 2:20).

• Worship becomes life-changing when we are cured of our *"I" problem.

V. Attempting a "Lone Ranger" Christianity.

• A. Wearing a mask. (II Cor. 6:11-13).
• B. Going it alone. (Acts 2; Eccl. 4:9-12; "one another" commands).

• We need others. Others need us.

VI. Living a safe life. (Mark 8:34-36).

• I will choose wisely today and live fully for god.
