· 4 viewsThere are many ways to plan out how to obtain a certain goal. Often times we start with the basics and work our way toward the more difficult things. However as we start this year off I want to encourage us to start off 2023 with the idea to, "BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND." That's right, "BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND." And although we say BEGIN WITH THE END IN MIND, please note that "THIS END" is only the beginning. The beginning of your best life, the beginning of your promise.

BEGINNING WITH THE END IN MIND
BEGINNING WITH THE END IN MIND
One of God’s greatest promises to man, starts at the end. THE RESURRECTION.
THE RESURRECTION IS OUR HOPE OF GLORY
THE RESURRECTION IS OUR HOPE OF GLORY
1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2 through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.
Stand - to remain firm or steadfast, to take up or maintain a postion or attitude, to be set, placed, fixed, located or situated, ANCHORED
Exult - to show or feel a lively or triumphant joy; rejoice exceedingly; to be highly elated or jubilant (feeling or expressing great joy)
2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.
Saved - to rescue from danger or possible harm, injury or loss; to deliver from the power and the consequences of sin.
Vain - without effect or avail (value or profit); to no purpose
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
Received - generally accepted or believed; received wisdom
According to the Scriptures
1 Paul, an apostle (not sent from men nor through the agency of man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised Him from the dead),
2 and all the brethren who are with me, To the churches of Galatia:
3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,
4 who gave Himself for our sins so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father,
8 I have set the Lord continually before me; Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
9 Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will dwell securely.
10 For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.
11 You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.

10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me.
11 Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.
Labored - exhibiting a great deal of effort; exhibiting - to manifest or display, WORK
1 Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
3 For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.
Yet not I, but the grace of God with me
21 To my shame I must say that we have been weak by comparison. But in whatever respect anyone else is bold—I speak in foolishness—I am just as bold myself.
22 Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they descendants of Abraham? So am I.
23 Are they servants of Christ?—I speak as if insane—I more so; in far more labors, in far more imprisonments, beaten times without number, often in danger of death.
IT’S ALL WORTHLESS IF THERE IS NO RESURRECTION
IT’S ALL WORTHLESS IF THERE IS NO RESURRECTION
12 Now if Christ is preached, that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, not even Christ has been raised;
14 and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain.
15 Moreover we are even found to be false witnesses of God, because we testified against God that He raised Christ, whom He did not raise, if in fact the dead are not raised.
16 For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised;
17 and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins.
18 Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
19 If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied.
BUT BECAUSE OF THE RESURRECTION WE CAN WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE

1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase?
2 May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?
4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
