Yes, just because we haven't done a couple of these.

I'm good with that. Baptist was baptizing in the Jordan River. He also was preaching about and he anticipated the arrival of the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, and when John the Baptist set, his eyes upon the Lord. Jesus Christ immediately told his disciples Behold the Lamb of God. John 1:29 houses. The next day, John saw Jesus coming toward him and said the whole the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. This is he of whom I said, after me comes a man who is preferred before me for? He was before me here, John is talking to his disciples right here. He says, the verse 41, I did not know him but that he should be revealed to Israel. Therefore, I came baptizing with water. John bore witness saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dog and he remained upon him. I did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, upon whom you see the spirit descending and remaining on him. This is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit. And I've seen and testify that this is the Son of God. And again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples and looking at Jesus as he walked you said, Behold the Lamb of God. The two disciples heard him speak and they followed Jesus. Let's pray together. Our Father, we're so grateful. Lord for this Gathering today.

On this Lord's day as we celebrate. The Incarnation of your son, the Lord Jesus, our Emmanuel. Father, we are Most Blessed. We look at the world around us. Would look at so many places so many countries.

I do not have the privilege that we have today. To come in on this Lord's day on the special Lord's day and worship you in spirit. And in truth, Father, we do not take it for granted. We Want To Worship You, Lord today, give you. Thanks and praise for all that you have done for us. I pray, Lord. As we look at the scripture, we behold your lamb. That was sacrifice for us. I pray that we would leave here with much joy. Mud celebration. And I pray that every lost Center but leave here saved. As they're born again by the spirit. Father, we love you. And we ask all these things and Christ name, all the God's people said, amen. I want us to Behold the Lamb of God, this morning, I want us to Behold Him, you know, that some 30 times, that phrase Lamb of God, or where Jesus is referred to. As a lamb, is mentioned some 30 times in the New Testament. I want us to Behold the Lamb this morning. Have you ever been held the Lamb of God, and all of his honor and all of his glory will listen, if you have Then listen, you are a saved person because you cannot behold the precious lamb of God and remain the same. You cannot. Christian Fran. How long has it been since you beheld the Lamb of God, how long's it been since you this Christmas and all the hustle and bustle of this Christmas season? How long has it been since you fixed your eyes and fixed your heart upon this precious lamb, the Lord Jesus Christ. You see, even though we have the phrase, Jesus is the reason for the season in our minds. Sadly, the truth of that phrase may never reach her heart. We know the phrase very well. But is he truly truly the reason. For the season in your heart. I want us to very quickly, look at three things, concerning Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, notice the first thing I want you to notice is Jesus Christ. Is God's special lamb. Jesus Christ is God's special lamb. And, of course, the worst special is not near adequate enough to describe the precious lamb of God. We think about the specialness of God's lamb. We think about how he is conception alone with special his conception into this world was special, Matthew 1:20, says, but while he thought about these things, Behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream saying Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you. Marry your wife for that, which is conceived in her, is of the Holy Spirit. So this verse emphasizes, the supernatural character of the whole event of the Virgin birth that some 2,000 years ago. Eternity pierced time in a little town, a little village called Bethlehem. Infinite power in omnipresence. Come compressed inside the womb of a virgin named Mary.

Hey, listen God. Could not be contained in 10 trillion universities. But on that night, a teenage girl wrapped him up in swaddling clothes is our Emmanuel. God is his Divine father? I Jesus was only Joseph legal son, his Earthly son. Jesus, father was God who was conceived by the Holy Spirit.

And we see that because he is Joseph son. He has a royal, right? That is he has a right to sit on the throne of David and that came by Joseph because Joseph was of the lineage of David Joseph was a son of David. And then we noticed that phrase and verse 20 there. It says for that, which has been conceived in her is of the holy spirit that phrase right there is an amazing amazing phrase. In those words is the ultimate testimony to the Virgin birth. It is a testimony of the Holy Angel, who was sent by God, the Father himself to declare this message. The Joseph, don't worry about this. Mary has been conceived by the Holy Spirit. So he's very conception his virgin birth is special, but then we noticed that his conduct Jesus conduct upon this Earth was very special, was it not? We see this in his miracles. I think about the things that Jesus did upon this Earth, he could feed the multitude with just a few fish and loaves of bread, he opened his eyes, he healed the sick, he even raise the Dead.

Jesus did something. The ordinary became the extraordinary. we think about the miracle in John, chapter 2, It was just an ordinary wedding. With ordinary guests with some ordinary water. But when Jesus came the water blush in the presence of its maker and the water became wine. It was just an ordinary. Fishing trip. Luke Chapter 5 record this for us. Just some fishermen. And Jesus on the boat. But those fishermen couldn't catch any fish. And when they came back to shore, Jesus said, hey, talking to Peter, go out again and launch out into the deep? Of course, Peter was very hesitant, he did not want to do this. He said, Lord, we have toiled all night long. We've not called anything. but then he says, never the last Lord at thy will I thought word, I will. Well, Jerry Vines tells us the preacher. He says, then the word got out in the Sea of Galilee that the master of the land and the Sea needed some fish. And they started coming. They came from brehm Boulevard, and lobster Lane. They came from Catfish Corner, there was a traffic jam in the Sea of Galilee because Jesus wanted some fish in the net. Bloodless and all of these Miracles were merely proved that. He was indeed who we claim to be the Son of God. And when Peter realized, The miracle that took place that they had so much fish that they couldn't even get it all in there. Both without the boat, wanting to seek, When, when Peter realized who Jesus was, he said this to Jesus, he said, depart from me for, I am a sinful Man. O. Lord And you know, you know that ought to be our response as well. When we Behold the Lamb, when we behold the Lord, it all of his glory and all of his Splendor we ought to say as Peter said depart from me. Or I'm a sinful Man. O Lord All the miracles of Jesus declared that he was the son of God. But then we think about his message.

When Jesus opened his mouth. people were amazed at the Things She Said, Even when he was just twelve years old, the doctors of the law. And Luke 2:47 tells us, they were astonished as the questions and answers, that Jesus gave even as a boy. When he began his ministry, he continues to amaze the crowds that heard him speak. and John Chapter 7, Jesus said no man. Are they said of Jesus no man spoke like this man. I remember when Jesus was speaking in the gospel of Mark in the synagogue. He was speaking and preaching and they said of Jesus, this man speaks as though he has Authority. No other Rabbi spoke like Jesus spoke. I'll think of the words of Christ this morning. Think of the words of Christ, how they have just consulted the hurting heart. Think about the words of Christ that has convicted the sinful heart. All the message of Jesus, the words of Jesus declare that he was the son of God. So we see his conception was special his conduct with special, but we also notice his claim was special, his claim was special. Jesus was never shy about telling people who he was. As a matter of fact, his planes were what caused the Jews that the Pharisees to seek his death.

We know that Jesus, first of all, claim to be the son of God. And John chapter 10 verse 36.

Says, do you say of him who the father Sanctified and sent into the world? You are blaspheming because I said, I am the Son of God to Jesus claim to be and he was the son of God. He was the only begotten Son of God. And then Jesus playing to be not only the Son of God. Jesus claimed to be God and John 14 9. Jesus said, if you have seen me, you have seen the father. Amen. John 10:30. Jesus said, I and my father are one. And so by making this claim, Jesus was telling them that he was eternal, that he was their God. And if they needed to Bow before Him and acknowledge Him as their God, do you know that Jesus is the son of God? Have you acknowledge this? Have you bow before him had knowledge in that he is. Not only the Son of God, but God In the Flesh.

I want to remind you that only those who received Jesus words as truth. Can be saved. Only those who receive Jesus words. As truth can be saved. So Jesus is God's special lamb but didn't notice? Secondly, Jesus Christ is God's sacrificial lamb. Is God sacrificial lamb. Listen, God's lamb came into this world for one purpose, for one purpose to walk on the water. Heater not come in this world to heal the sick. He did not come in this world to open up blinded eyes. He did not come to this world to calm the raging Storm know, Jesus came for the sole purpose of dying on the cross for our sins. The Lord Jesus is the Lamb of God.

He is that one. Great final. Perfect sacrifice for our sins. There's no more need for any other sacrifice because the sacrifice has been paid for again. He is called the lamb some 30 times in the New Testament. God's sacrificial. Lamb was foreshadowed. It was pictured long before the gods lamb came on the scene in Bethlehem. I'll listen long before Bethlehem Isaac once asked his father, where is the Lamb for the burnt offering? Abraham said by faith, he said God will provide for himself a lamb and God did just that 2000 years later. When Christ, the lamb that was slain before the creation of the world, the Bible tells us In fact. The place that's God, led Abraham with Isaac was Mount Moriah. The same Mountain where the Lord Jesus Christ was crucified.

Years after Abraham and Isaac. We finally Israel, in bondage in Egypt. And then when God was ready to set, his people free in ancient Egypt, he told them to place the shed blood of a spotless Lamb on the doorpost of each home. And say when I see the blood, I will pass over you. That's the Lamb of History. That's the land. That is pictured in the Old Testament as a foreshadow, as a type of the Lamb that is to come and I can give you much more examples of the Lamb of History. But all those sacrifices and ancient Israel, were a fulfillment of the sacrifices and types of the once and for all lamb. I've gone, who would come. Paul tells us that Christ is our Passover Lamb who is sacrificed for us once and for all it is by his sacrifice and because of his great love for us that our communion with God, is restore We are sanctify. We are set apart house by the covering of his shed blood for us. The Bible tells us in first John, the blood of Jesus God's son cleanses us from all sin. 1st Peter, chapter 1.

Peter says that knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things such as silver or gold. I know you were worried any, by the precious blood as abalam unblemish and spotless the blood of Christ,

I like John's disciples. and John chapter 1 listen, this ought to compel us Desert to the very depths of our sold. To Behold the Lamb of God but not just Behold Him but to follow him. Follow this lamb. Follow the Christ of Christmas. Follow God's lamb. I want to read you just a few verses in the Book of Revelation that Reference Jesus, as the lamb. Revelation 5:12 tells us Worthy is the Lamb. That was slain to receive power and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor and glory and blessing. Revelation 6 16 fall on us and hide us from the presence of him who sits on the throne and from the Wrath of the lamb for the great day of their wrath has come. And who is able to stand Revelation 7:10 says and crying out in a loud voice saying salvation to our God who sits on the throne and to the lamb Revelation. 19 7. Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to him for the marriage of the Lamb has come. Revelation, 21, 22, I saw no temple in it for the Lord. God the almighty, the land, or its Temple, and then Revelation 21, 23 says, the city had no need of the Sun, or of the moon to shine in it for the glory of God illuminated it. The lamb is, it's like all listen. God sacrificial lamb. What we know about this sacrificial lamb, but we know, first of all, that he was to be a spotless lamb. Right there has to be a sinless spotless lamb in the Old Testament before any land to be offered as a sacrifice. It had to be thoroughly examined and declared spotless by the high priest. And if they found any animal that was in pure, if they found any animal that was deformed, it could not be the sacrifice. That should be offered. And blowing for Jesus, to be the sacrifice, to be our sacrifice for sin. He had to be human, right? He had to be conceived of a virgin. He had the BR Emmanuel God In the Flesh, but he also to be our sacrifice. That only had to be human, but he had to be sinless. He had to be without spot. He had to be the human that Adam failed to me. Jesus is our second Adam and he absolutely to feel what? Adam my first Adam ruined. But not only is he the Son of God As I said he is also the sinless son of man and don't ever forget that Jesus Christ is the Son of God but he's also he is a hundred percent. Got a hundred percent man. He is the god man. And Paul said in second Corinthians 5:21,

For, he made him. Knew no sin to be sin for us that we might become the righteousness of God in him. Bloodless and when Jesus Christ died on the cross, he was shedding innocent blood. When he died on the cross, he was shedding innocent blood. He was dying in the place of all the guilty centers, who would believe upon Him by faith, it was a pure and spotless lamb dying for an emperor and sin stained people. All this sacrificial. Lamb was a spotless. Lamb, notice. Also Jesus was a submissive lamb. He was a submissive lamb. Listen, don't ever believe that Jesus was somehow coerced or forced into being our sacrifice. Don't ever believe that Jesus was somehow forced to die on the cross. No, Jesus wasn't forced into his role as our sacrifice. He willingly submitted to all that he endorsed, he did it all out of a heart of love for you and for me,

Remember again Jesus was God In the Flesh. This is the creator of this universe.

He could have if you wanted to call Ten Thousand Angels.

While he was on the cross. He could have spoken the word and his executioners and his accusers would have vanished away into nothingness. But he didn't do that. He willingly submitted to all that he endured because of his. Number one, wanted to be obedient to his father number 2 because of his great love for you and me.

He endured the shame, he endured all the pain without uttering a word of Defense. Remember when pilot was examining him and Pilot said, after examining m, a i find no fault in this man. Jesus, never. Once tried to say anything, that might help his, cause any matter fact, he just kept his mouth shut for the most part. He submitted to the father's will and pay the price for seeing wife because he is that sacrificial lamb. That was very submissive. And at the prophet Isaiah said he was as a lamb. To the slaughter. and when he did speak, it was deprived for the Forgiveness of those who tormented him on the cross. Jesus was surrendered to the father's will he was a submissive lamb. So we see Jesus Christ. God special lamb is God's sacrificial lamb. But then noticed. Lastly, God's saving lamb? Jesus Christ is God's saving lamb. Blob. Listen at the story ended here. With Jesus dying on a cross. This would be a sad story to tell, right? If the story ended this way at this time, there would be no reason to gather together this morning. If Jesus died on the cross, there would be no price of Christmas. No reason to celebrate Christmas. There will be no salvation for me and there be no, hope for our souls but thank God. The story does not end there. 3 days after Jesus died. He came fourth alive. God raised him from the dead and listen, he is still alive today. Hebrews 7:25 tells us that he ever more living to make intercession for us. He lives forever more.

I want to show you what the Lamb of God can do today since he's alive. Since God has raised him from the dead. What can he do for us today? Well, number one, notice has the power, then to save sinners. Hallelujah for that. Christ has the power to save sinners. 1st Timothy 1:15 or verse of the month. Jesus Christ came into the world. Why just save Sinners. That's why he came. I didn't Matthew chapter 11 verse 21. Matthew 1 verse 21. It says and she will bring forth a son. And you shall call his name Jesus for. He will save his people, from their sins. Who is Jesus? People who is his people? All those who believe? Or not believe, then you are not. He is and if you want to be his then belief belief.

That's a promise that Jesus, that we have of, of this, this Angel speaking to Mary, that he is going to come to save his people from their sins.

Those who are lost in sin today. Have hope. Have hope today. They can turn to the Lord and He will save. Their souls. Notice what happens every time.

But every sinner that comes to Christ by faith, what happens? I'm not number one, he cleanses their sin, Every sinner. The comes of the Jesus Christ by faith. Is Justified. Their slate is wiped clean. He cleanses their sin. His blood has the power to wash away sins forever. Psalm 103 verse 12 says, as far as the East is from the West so far, he has removed our transgressions from us.

It's a blow. When you put your faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ and receive his death and Resurrection as a payment of your sin that he washes you in his blood and your sins are no longer an issue.

So he cleanses seeing but notice also that way, when we come to Jesus by faith, he changes the center. He changes the center. When Jesus save someone, he also changes that person. 2nd Corinthians 5:17 says, therefore If any man is in Christ he is a new creature old things passed away, behold. All things have become new. Hallelujah for that. the lamb who was for Sinners slain is making all things new and this proof this morning needs to be understood. That if you're saved, one of the marks that you are a Christian, is that you are a different person. You have changed. There has been a new creation in and out and about you old things have passed away. Behold All Things become new.

Everything Has Changed. I can never be the same once a person, Behold the Lamb of God, The notice. He has the power to secure Saints. Jesus. God's saving land. Not only has the power to save Sinners, but he has the power to secure Saints. Those who come to God. Slam need never fear losing, what they have been given by faith. In other words, when Jesus saves us, all he does it for all eternity.

It's called eternal security. If you're saved the day, you will always be safe. You never have to fear about somehow Jesus losing. You, are you doing something that would cause you to fall out of favor with Christ? No know, if you're saved that, you will always be

Why? Because has Jonah said, salvation is of the Lord. We can save you then guess what? He can keep you saved. And we're not saved by us. We're not kept saved, by us doing something, in and of ourselves know, Peter tells us that we are kept saved by the power of God.

He who saves this is able then to keep us until the day of redemption. And if you can't keep you saved that, he can't save you to begin with. I'll listen to me as we think about this. Thought on this Christmas morning, you know, the world does not really have a problem with a Jesus in a manger type. Setting. But Jesus is no longer in the manger, is he we know that. And we know that even as when the verses we've read in the Book of Revelation that in Jesus though, he is a lamb. Is full of Wrath. And people were hiding in the Book of Revelation hiding in fear because of the Wrath of the Lamb, that's one aspect of the world that the world does not want us to look at, doesn't you think about a lamb? You think about something very gentle, you think something very sweet and kind you don't think about the Wrath of the Lamb. What was God's lamb? There is Wrath. And that Rath is going to be poured out onto all. Who do not believe all who have not come to him by faith. so, what today I asked you Have you come? By faith to the Lord Jesus Christ. Have you by faith believed. Well, if you have, then you're going to desire to follow him. And if you have your going to have a change upon your life, that cannot be explained by the power of men, but only by the power of God. So Christian, I pray as we pray, just a moment that you would Behold the Lamb of God. This Christmas Even more as we go throughout the day that you just meditate upon what we have gleaned and heard as truth. And then Center frame. If you're here, I pray that today would be the day of salvation. Believe upon Christ and be saved. Let's pray together. A gracious and kind Heavenly Father.

Lord, we are most grateful.

For sending us.

You're special sacrificial. Saving lamb.

Father, I pray as we have. Consider things that we have heard if we've been in church. Most of our life, we've heard time and time again.

Father, I pray that we as Believers would fall in love.

With this. Why I'm all over again? You meditate upon what it means. That you sent your only begotten son into this world.

What it means to believe. Upon him. The father we also pray the Lord for those who are here who are not believers. We pray got it. They too would meditate upon what happens. when they do not believe, And I do not receive the words of Christ. As truth. Father, I pray that you would do what only you can do and that is draw the center to your son, Jesus. I can do nothing but be a Herald of the Gospel. That's all you have called me to do. Lord, I believe in the preaching of the Gospel.

Though, it may seem as foolishness to the world. You have ordained it before the beginning of time as a means to be that which plants to seed. And Lord, I pray that the seed that has been planted. Would fall upon fertile ground today.

My mini cam. Saving knowledge of your son, Jesus. And Lord. I pray Lord for all the Folks with in Archer 2. This Christmas. is the first Christmas without their loved one in God, I pray that you would wrap your arms around them today. Lord, that void that they have in their life that emptiness that I pray that you would feel it. I pray, the Lord for those who are hurting today, just due to circumstances beyond their control. I pray that they would find comfort. And your son. The Lord Jesus today. And we worship you. as we go throughout the remainder of this day, We ask all these things in Christ name.
