Prophecies that see far into the future

anticipation of the Christ.

Advent about future prophecy

even the name “Advent” is from a far sight ancient messianic prophecy

in spirit of Advent, 3 incredible future prophecies about the Christ every Catholic should know

Incredible fulfilled

Millennia have past since these astounding prophecies fulfilled, so to understand these future prophecies must look to the past.

Prologue

In the Years before the first Christ-mass, the Jewish people were a small people

backwater religion diff than most on face o earth

worshiped no diverse gods but God himself

conquered over and over by great empires

linger on just a bit longer

who would have thought more of their destiny?

But their prophecies one day messiah faith over all earth

that the whole world would kneel to their God and reject the many diverse pagan gods, casting aside idols of gold or man

Imagine this absurd and bold claim

Imagine some distant 3rd world country claiming one day all would serve their very weird and different culture had for hundreds of years.

Yet in the very height of anticipation of the messiah Jesus Christ came into this world

the faith of Israel spread through him to all the world

What did his life lead to?

the leaders, of his people, who merely acting like they believed (hypocrites in Greek) decided to put him to a shameful test

Ha! not really believing he was son of God or that life is anymore than these passing things.

mock him for relying on God as father

innocent victim who died as a sacrifice for our sins

paid debt for our sins

judicially condemned and seized, stripped, publicly humiliated, peirced in hands and feet, unbroken bones, clothes gambled over, lifted up, jeered at, died, rose

ressurection, eternal life and the kneelign of all nations to israel

Right before death he cried “My God my God why have you”

the lamb of pascua, passover, in english, easter according to exodus could not break bones

state and gloat upon him (like one lifted up)

all earth (not just israel) will come to Israel’s God

Conclusions

song looks like despair isnt actually, quotation of Christ on the cross

To whom else had hands and feet peirced, clothes gambled, mocked and gawked at during this drawn out ordeal??? Who was dedicated to God even in the womb? Certainly not David who wrote this. And then the nations come and worship and praise his name in the eklaesia (which means Church in English?) Who else wrought all these things but Christ?

remember those who plotted to kill Christ (hypocrits, that is actors in Greek) not really believing

those who knew and were trained well in the law and prophets

I thought all these were fascinating until I really took time to deeply study some of Christ Himself’s favorite prophecies…

lets just say that there is a clear reason there was messianic fever among all israel at the time of Christ...

Daniel seems to have even prophesied the time of the Messiah precisely

but that is perhaps a story for another day

Jerome: Cant refer to Hezekiah b/c was already 9 by the time of this prophecy in Isaiah

Isaiah says I shall give yall a sign, not you (ἀκούσατε and give ὑμῖν)
