Introduction:

This church wasn’t criticized by the Lord; rather it was commended. Although some people disobey and reject the Lord, many others stand for righteousness and high principles. Love causes mankind to obey God and follow His teachings.

[13] Respect:

Many hear the teachings of God, but how many really obey them? When one fully obeys, God’s Word sinks into the depths of their hearts, changing them and making them the person God wants them to be. To be everything God wants us to be, we must do this concerning God’s Word: hear it, obey it, hide it, live it, share it, study it, and know it.
Because:
As we hide God’s Word in our hearts, we will not sin against Him:
Psalm 119:11 NKJV
11 Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.
God’s Word will convict us of our sin:
Hebrews 4:12 NKJV
12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
God’s Word will cleanse us from sin:
Psalm 119:9 NKJV
9 How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word.
God’s Word will increase our faith:
Romans 10:17 NKJV
17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
