III. Matthew 1:1,6, and 17 filled with gold. Matthew 1.1 “The book of the genealogy of Jesus Christ, the son of David.” Matthew 1.6 “and Jesse the father of David the king. ” Matthew 1:17 “So all the generations from Abraham to David were fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to Babylon fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to the Christ fourteen generations.”
IV. Jesus is the son of David and the promised King.
V. Jesus is also the compassionate King.
VI. Jesus is also our rejected King.
VII. Conclusion: Who is Jesus? and Matthew 9:9 “As Jesus passed on from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax booth, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he rose and followed him.”
