How can a building be destroyed that has never been built? It cannot. So when people talk about deconstructing Christianity, it truly is not deconstructing. These people were not saved. Many people such as Christian rock stars, or even Bible professors say they are no longer Christian. One example is Paul Maxwell, wrote for one of the biggest Christian websites Desiring God, with John Piper (I would not fully endorse it) and had Ph.d in theology and was a professor at Moody Bible Institute, came and said last year that they were no longer Christian. Which I was not surprised, because watching a video on how churches celebrate effeminancy and driving away men, and masculine virtues, was saying that inappropriate jokes were OK. It is not that they did not go to church, but look at verses 22-23. These people started out saying they believed in Christ, but they then denied Jesus. Now, can a believer deny Jesus? Yes, Peter did. He did outwardly, but it was not inwardly. These people started saying that Jesus was not the Messiah, who came to save people from their sins.
Matthew 7:21-23 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
John 6:40 “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
