Meaning of “And Lead Us not into Temptation”

Meaning of “And Lead Us Not into Temptation” in Matthew 6:13
“Temptation” - most likely means ‘temptation or enticement to sin’, because the next request is “but deliver us from the evil one.”
But, the wording “lead us not into temptation” does not suggest that God is the one who brings us into temptation.
Rather, the request is for God to keep us out of temptation.
God does not tempt or entice us into sin.
Conclusion: God will never contradict His own Word.
