CAS Announcement–

R.V.W Issue– God we pray for continued determination and resilience as law makers sort through the complexity of our current society. Grant them favor and discernment as they weigh their decisions against the demands of culture. I also pray for sanity. With any such changes as this, people get very passionate. I pray that, in everything, our prayer and fight would be to you, with you, for you that you would guide and grant wisdom and discernment.

Message Frustration- / Psalm 37:1-2- focus for this entry- God will not forsake his saints!

Clearly he’s feeling that he’s being left behind and the blessing of the Lord is falling only to those who clearly aren’t walking the path of goodness.
WHO THE LORD CHOOSES TO BLESS. Matthew- “rain falls on the just and the unjust.
There will always be ramifications for our sinful choices, because even some of you here today were the ones that David is pleading against. You were the wicked one. You were the sinful one. You were the unrighteous one who didn’t deserve the favor of God and yet somehow, someway there was still blessing and protection over your life.

Just because you are outside the will of God doesn't necessarily mean that you are outside the favor of God. He’s still loving, caring and kind, compassionate, tender and merciful to all of his creation.

Now, David’s theme – God will not forsake his saints!
The first thing he does is tell himself, and sequentially you, DON’T WORRY ABOUT THOSE WHO CHEAT THEIR WAY THROUGH LIFE.

Pastor Hoover - Focus on the Lord alone and he will provide you with everything else. Something to the effect of. Everyone needs to hear and understand that statement.

3-4 - Trust in the Lord, and do good; 4 Delight yourself in the Lord,

[And you will] dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. and he will give you the desires of your heart.

NOTHING OUTSIDE THE CONFINES OF OUR TRUSTING IN THE LORD.

Are you having a tough time with what you’re facing right now?
Are you struggling with the sinful choices you see others choosing?

Davids wants you to know that our perspective is no coercion to correct, but to commit and to trust.

David goes on in this encouraging thread to say this -

(The command ) 5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. (and the promise) 6 He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.

7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!

11- But the meek shall inherit the land and delight themselves in abundant peace. (YOU CAN ARRIVE AT THE DESIRED END WITHOUT HAVING TO STRESS, DESTROY, CORRUPT OR BE ANXIOUS ABOUT GETTING THERE)

JAMES 4:2- YOU DESIRE

Tell me youve not wanted to affect a situation that you knew was just so much larger than you and for all intents and purposes, there was no way you could have done anything about anything. It’s those moments when the Lord steps in and directs.
Look at his language:
Don’t stress // Don’t be envious // Be still // Don’t be anxious - it only tends to evil responses.

<<KEYS BEGINNING>>

WAIT for the Lord, do good // TRUST in the Lord, // COMMIT your way to him // DELIGHT yourself in him and in his way // Be patient for him and be still

There is no way you can be aggressive about life situations and accomplish what David is telling you to do
