INTRO- Mark 5:21-43 ME/WE: Don’t bother me /Too many options

When everything is fine, we build walls of resistance.
Who was Jarius? Pharisee = Separated / Intent on perfection. Believed in Messiah, but not that Jesus was.
Looking for Messiah over Jesus shoulder.
SO LONG AS NOTHING NEGATIVE HAPPENS, WE CAN PROGRESS TOWARD IDEAL. AND THEN LIFE HAPPENS
Messiah was coming with pomp/circumstance acknowledging their great efforts

The rules they keep- sabbath, sacrifice, tithing

Some of the rules we keep

Cultures/Customs- The role of woman in their society
JARIUS WAS THE GUY KEEPING THE RULES. /DAUGHTER SICK AND JESUS IS CLOSE-REPUTATION

Ryder’s collapse at our ship campus staff meeting just before launch.

When desperation develops, affiliation ceases to matter.

May it never become that we would withhold assistance from someone because of their affiliation(s) or their beliefs. When people need help, they don’t care where it comes from.
This is Jarius as he runs out into the street-
THE CROWD DOESN’T SPLIT BECAUSE YOU’RE WEARING A DESPERATE FATHER TSHIRT

Mark 1:22-24, he fell at his feet and implored him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death. COME and LAY YOUR HANDS ON HER, so that she may be made well and live.” And he went with him.

I WONDER SOMETIMES WHAT WE ARE MISSING BECAUSE OUR BOLD REQUEST ISN’T CLEAR ENOUGH.
ARE WE CLEAR ENOUGH IN THE DESPERATION OF OUR MOMENTS ABOUT WHAT WE ARE ASKING THE LORD TO DO?
FEAR AND BELIEF COLLIDE AND OUR BELIEF BEGINS TO CAVE TO OUR FEARS.
BELIEF IS STRAINED, WORN OUT, TIRED, NOT MUCH LEFT.
IS THE LORD IS EVER GOING TO HEAR AND REVEAL!!??

SOME OF YOU FEEL RIGHT NOW, LIKE GUY JARIUS WOULD HAVE FELT WHEN THIS NEXT SITUATION HAPPENS AND SOMEONE ELSE GETS THE HEALING POWER OF GOD IN YOUR PLACE.

<<Keys Beginning>>

Paraphrase- V25-34 - And there was a woman. There was someone else!
Her story of inspiration/determination that belief would heal.
Your connection to the Lord is never a bother.

The girl last sunday→. “I just dont want to bother the Lord.

When desperation develops, it doesn’t matter what it takes, just get to the Savior
