There are three things people chase.
Money
Power
Glory
The Bible says about money:
1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
If you love money there is a root in you that will make your flesh crave power and glory.
Here are the FACTS about the deal:
I.
People Want Power.
Why do lawyers take a pay cut to go into politics?
Why do pastors take a pay cut to go up the denomination ladder?
II.
People Want Glory.
Why do athletes go into sports that can cause the brain trauma?
Why do Christians want their names on something given to God?
III.
The Devil Has People Deceived.
People think the Devil has no authority to grant these things on Earth.
Ephesians 2:1-3
1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.
The Devil hands out more power and glory than he does money.
III.
Jesus Christ Turned The Deal Down.
Jesus refused to worship Satan.
(Luke 4:8)
Jesus returned from the wilderness with two things.
Power.
V.14
Glory.
V.15
1 Peter 5:6
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
Conclusion:
Have you accepted a deal Jesus turned down?
