Lion Killer
1 Samuel 17:34-35; Amos 3:12
Faith for present battle is found in past victories (goliath has more brothers)
Seed for tomorrow’s harvest is found in yesterday’s fruit (this shouldn’t be the last miracle)
Remember what God has done instead of what you didn’t (disciples forgot bread)
You can’t face a battle God can’t win (memorial stones)
Sling shot is prayer; stone is faith in God’s word
You can’t have public victory with private defeats (house build on the sand; God rewards privacy)
You can’t face giants if you were eaten by lions (Jesus fought lions before he fought giants)
God allows lions to prepare you for giants (you’re not spiritually weak; warning: lions around)
Don’t let lions live off your sheep, don’t comfort yourself with at least he did eat me
Giant killers aren’t those who don’t fall in private, they are those who don’t stay down once they fall Good shepherds are not those who don’t loose sheep, they are those who don’t settle but go after the lost God lost us, David lost his everything, but they went after it…they didn’t just
Overcome guilt and condemnation
