The Rebel, the Rod, and the Rock
Numbers 20:1-13
Lord leads – it’s not a guarantee of the no trials
The Rebel
You’re not responsible for what happens to you but what happens in you
You can’t blame your problem for your response. It was your decision
The greater the problem the greater the grace. Excuses are not acceptable
If the enemy can’t get you in your response to problems, he will try to in your response to people
Water in the boat is person who don’t take control of your attitude in the face of the problem
The Rod
Keep the cross close to you
He carried a weight of the world, to give you His burden and His yoke He was in pain physically, He carried your affliction He was rejected by friends and Father, lonely, so that you might be accepted by God He suffered poverty so that “though He was rich but for your sakes He became poor, that you might be rich”
In your sufferings, remember His “Consider Him who endured…lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.” Heb.12:3 “For in that He Himself has suffered being tempted He is able to aid those who are tempted.” Heb.2:18; 4:16
The Rock
Dehydration prolonged activity without consuming water in hot environment. About 75% of body’s weight is water
There is salvation that quenches our thirst. Dehydrated soul Water that flows not stays Water that satisfies not merely reliefs Water that lasts not evaporates Water is a gift not labor
