TREE (PART II)
Tree in sin and tree in salvation Tree is sustained by its source. We must worship God and use things not the opposite Soil wants the roots not the branches Roots must get water out of the soil to produce. Water is the word of God
Ps.1; Gal.5
FRUIT Fruit is developed but gift is given. Fruit reflects the nature of tree, gift doesn’t Character is not received like forgiveness. Character can’t be dealt with on encounter It’s not wrong to pray for love, but we must remember how God will answer that prayer
Salvation is second birth. Babies are born with ability to walk, talk, speak, read, and ride bicycle All things pertain to life and godliness were given to us (2 Pet.1:3) Fruit is like muscle. We all were born with it but it grows as we use it
Fruits are sour before they are sweet Babies know of sour walking, sour speaking, sour riding, sour driving, and sour writing Every patience person was sour. Every successful businessman was sour. Every great marriage was sour Not quitting and using the help of the father was the key that got us from sour to sweet We moved from sour to sweet because of our fathers who didn’t allow us to quit Apostle John had sour fruit of love before he became the love apostle Apostle Peter had sour fruit of faithfulness before he became the faithful follower
It’s like camera. You have it but it’s developed in darkness of the life
LEAVES Leaves are green so is money
Money will buy a bed but not sleep; books but not brains; food but not appetite; finery but not beauty; a house but not a home; medicine but not health; luxuries but not culture; amusements but not happiness; religion but not salvation; a passport to everywhere but heaven. Wealth doesn’t equal worth
God knows your need (Gen.2:18; Matt.6:7, 32) God provides for everyone (Adam, Cainan, grass, lilies of the field, birds, Matt.5:45). God is not Christian
God did what Abraham confessed. Abraham unlike Israel didn’t say that we don’t have a sacrifice There is a ram (salvation, healing, breakthrough) prepared for you Abraham, it was waiting for you to get here There is fourth man waiting for you in your furnace There is manna, water, quails prepared for you in your wilderness There is earthquake waiting for you to get to jail Paul
God has a fish prepared for you Jonah – even though you’re drowning in the sea of consequences
God will meet all of our needs according to His riches and glory (Phil.4:19)
