Judah begot Perez (Mt.1:3)
Judah wasn’t firstborn but fourth & not favored by father & made terrible mistake
Names represented identity and the nature of the person
David and then Jesus came from Judah’s tribe
Unbelieving Christians don’t praise (Ex.15:1-21)
Faith is what you do when you have a problem
The reason people don’t praise is because they don’t believe
Our reaction toward our difficulties reveals level of our faith
Not every circumstance you can change but don’t allow circumstances to change you
Praise is the dog tape on the mouth of your enemy (Ps.8:2)
Shout till the walls come down (Joshua 6:1-16)
Wilderness defeated mind-set would complain when facing walls but promise land victorious mind-set would should when facing walls
You don’t need to shout when walls will come down but shout them down
You know you are far from promise land if you will murmur when you meet walls
What to do when you don’t know what to do (2 Chr.20:12, 19, 21-22)
Our eyes are upon God not our enemy
Go against your enemy don’t run from him
We don’t know what to do nor do we have power over this multitude
Praise when you have done all know to do
Gideon got victory by blowing the trumpet (Judg.7:18)
Paul got deliverance by singing (Acts 16:25)
Jerusalem was moved by praise (Mt.21:10)
Pharisees are still upset about praise (Mt.21:16; 2 Sam.6:14-23)
