In Jeremiah, God gives the image of a Great Gardener clearing out His field from the weeds that have infested it. This work is painful and takes time, but through it there is the promise that God will remain through the entire process, a brighter future awaits, and a new promise makes all people have the ability to be free from sadness, sin, and death.
