38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?
39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.
41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.

50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.
51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

If you are following Christ today you are doing so because of an invitation extended by God.

For me it was on a Sunday night in June in 1992. I knew that I had a decision to make.

They were looking for the coming Messiah

When we speak to people about Jesus we need to let them know they have found what they are looking for and now is the time to come unto Him.

The indication is that they wanted directions so they could come by sometime.
Jesus responds with “what are you waiting for”
I firmly believe this has been missing from my conversation with people. Believing that Jesus may return at any moment forces me to ask people to make a decision about His first coming.

Nathaniel's life experience makes it hard for him to see Jesus.
Apparently nothing from Nazareth has ever been of any value to him.
Perhaps you do not believe anything of value comes from religion.
As followers of Jesus we do not have to be concerned that anyone we meet will ever have a question about the character of God that we can not boldly answer.
