Good morning, friends, we’re so glad you have tuned in to hear God’s Precepts and Promises this morning brought to you by the Rome Church of Christ.
We’re examining Christianity systematically--taking all the Bible has to say on a subject and putting it together as best as possible.

••Satan is real
•If Bible true, Satan and hell exist just as Jesus and heaven do
•Pitchfork and horns are foreign to Scriptures
•A created free moral spiritual being—an angel—who fell (2 Pet. 2:4)
•Pride was the cause of his fall (1 Tim. 3:6; Is. 14:12-14; Eze. 28:12-17)
•Satan is a Real Enemy
•Satan—the enemy of God
•Satan = adversary (Job 1:6)
•Jesus described the devil as the enemy (Mat. 13:25, 39)
•Satan attacks God by attacking God’s creation
•Deceiving man (Rev. 12:9)
•Accusing man (Rev. 12:10; Job 1:9-11)
•God created us to have a relationship with Him; Satan uses sin to separate us from Him (Is. 59:1-2)

You will say that these are very small sins; and doubtless, like all young tempters, you are anxious to be able to report spectacular wickedness. But do remember, the only thing that matters is the extent to which you separate the man from the Enemy. It does not matter how small the sins are provided that their cumulative effect is to edge the man away from the Light and out into the Nothing. Murder is no better than cards if cards can do the trick. Q: Do exorcisms happen today?
A: No. Casting out demons or performing an exorcism as it is sometimes called was a miracle performed in the first century. Mk 16:17 “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;” But the word being confirmed (Mk 16:20) the need for miracles ceased. Thus demons aren’t being cast out today nor possessing people today.

•Health (Job 2:7; Acts 10:38)
•Satan oppresses through death (Gen. 3:4; Heb. 2:14)

Satan’s is a Limited Power
•Satan’s power cannot be denied
•Ruler of darkness (Eph. 6:12); Prince of this world (Jn. 12:31)

•Hold me hostage with the grave (Heb. 2:14, 15)
•Satan has a special place prepared for him
•Hell is prepared for the devil and his angels (Rev. 20:10)
•Not intended for you but you can choose to go be with Satan (Mat. 25:41)

CONCLUSION
Sum: Satan is real but so is God. Greater is the one in the Christian 1 Jn 4 4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
