Does anyone know what an ambassador is?
An ambassador is a person who represents another someone, or a company, or a state or nation.
An ambassador for the United States is sent to a country to be a representative for the United States. An ambassador tries to make friends with other nations for share blessings.
Today we’re going to talk about all believers in Jesus are His ambassadors. Did you know that? You are and ambassador for Jesus? You are! The Apostle Paul announces,
2 Corinthians 5:20 ESV
20 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
Jesus has commissioned you and me and everyone who believes to:
Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV) go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
What can we tell others about Jesus?
We can tell people that
God loves them.
Jesus died for them.
Jesus has a heaven prepare for all who believe and are baptized.
This is the most important job anyone can have-to tell people about Jesus.
Thank you Jesus, for making me, a disciple. Help me, Holy Spirit. To be an ambassador. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
