The big message of Colossians is, 'Stick with Jesus, and don't ever "move on" from the gospel.' It's a message we need to hear, when the temptation is less about following some crazy teaching, and more about slowly and subtly diluting our faith in Jesus with ingredients from the prevailing culture.
