When Pilate heard this, he asked whether the man was a Galilean. And when he learned that he belonged to Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him over to Herod, who was himself in Jerusalem at that time. When Herod saw Jesus, he was very glad, for he had long desired to see him, because he had heard about him,…

Scotty loved to fish. He had spent most of the day fishing in a small aluminum flatboat. It wasn’t until he got ready to get out of the boat that he saw it. Gasoline! He had been sitting in it for hours. What it did to his skin was horrible. But how could he not have known? That must’ve burned like fire.…

The passage calls for us to obedience and spiritual purity because God is Holy (pure). In our former lives we were controlled in ignorance by the passions of the flesh (sinful desire). However, because of the grace of Christ we should obey God. This should be accomplished by prepairing ourselves to obey, focusing on the Hope of our future grace (glorification), and by conforming ourselves to God's purity.

And the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death and deliver him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third…

There was a girl who lived on a farm during the 1920’s and when she grew up she loved to tell the story of what it was like to grow up on her family’s farm. The key to a magician’s act is misdirection of our attention. They try to get us to focus on the smoke and mirrors, distraction our focus so that we don’t see something important so that we don’t see what is happening right before our eyes. Sometimes the things right in front of us are the hardest things to see. There are things you see everyday that you are blind to.

When believers are not walking by the Spirit they will have wicked passions that war within. When they are frustrated they will act out - they will even ask God to put His blessing on their evil. So we are to be peacemakers and lovers by His Spirit.

53% of people in America are unhappy with their work. As in water, face reflects face, so the heart of man reflects man. It all begins in our hearts. In some other parts of the Bible it is said that our hearts are deceitful, how can we understand it. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. The secular saying that goes, "follow your heart", is not completely reliable after all. Listening to our hearts does not always lead us to right decisions in life. Following your passion without education leads to destruction. God placed in us hearts that are programmed to perform His purpose. We "Hear our Hearts" when we are passionately Helping others. When we are willing to take the Extra mile. When we Always do things for the Lord, Remarkable things starts to happen.
