If you're paying attention to the readings today, you might be surprised to hear Isaiaih 9:1-4 as the opening reading. That's a Christmas reading! But Matthew quotes it in our Gospel reading as Jesus launches into His ministry in Galilee. Jesus begins by calling some of His disciples.
