As we come to the end of our series on Joseph, we see one more time how the story points us, in many, many ways, to God’s bigger story of salvation. In the legacy of Jacob, the prophecy for Judah, the example of Joseph and the fulfilment of Jesus – we are given an incredible view of God’s sovereign plan. He meant it, used it, planned it, purposed it, designed it, resolved it and intended it for good. What good? For “the saving of many lives.” For salvation, deliverance and redemption. That’s what God intends for us. That’s what God will work through us. That’s what God has purposed us for. That’s what God will achieve in us. Throughout this series we have been stretching our vision (our view, our faith) to gain a bigger picture of God.
