Intro We just started a series in Genesis last week. We saw that as early as the first chapter of the book, God calls us to join with all creation with a song that glorifies Him. And all of creation got that blessing from God (And God saw it was good), because they are doing what God made them to do.…
Today is sermon 2 from our Believe series - after this we’ll have 28 more to go! The topic this week is God is personal . Of the 4,200 religions in the world, the Judeo-Christian faith is largely unique in the fact that God reveals Himself, God is knowable, He’s near, He’s active in our lives and He…

People aren’t to make images of God because God has already made an image of Himself. Those who choose to walk with God will bear His image and experience His blessing but those who choose to abuse the image of God will be dominated by sin and experience the curse.

"It All Starts Here"
Philosophers sometimes ask a strange question. I know there is a reason for it, but it does seem pointless. Maybe you heard the question. It goes like this. If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? Have you ever hard that? Is it just me or is it ridiculous? If…
Man In The Mirror
You know the feeling. The one you get when you think you’re not good enough. The one that convinces you you’ve done something too awful to forgive. That’s shame holding you back. And it’s time to break free and start living Unashamed Shame Off You I spent the first twenty-two years of my life shackled by shame. Looking back, I realize I had always felt it. It had been a part of my life from my earliest memories. I felt it when I was rejected. Made to feel unworthy. Of no value. I felt it when I was abused. And couldn’t tell anyone. And believed it was somehow my fault. I felt it when I tried to hide who I was, apologize for who I was, minimize my talents, or overachieve and compensate for feeling somehow “less than.” Have you felt it? If you’re human, you have—and the result is always the same. Shame makes us feel small. Flawed. Not good enough. And controlled. Shame is the fear of being unworthy, and it adversely affects our relationship with God, ourselves, and others.
