Our Christ, who established all proper boundaries, came to us to destroy the boundaries which we have created. We have, and continue, to build boundaries that we ourselves cannot overcome and it has taken the very God of all things to do so. Through our choices, we determine that some humans are worth less than others, creating barriers of racism, classism and hierarchies of value that divide and destroy. Reconciliation is part of the Gospel. Yet our world thrives on antagonism fuelled ideologies. Jesus calls the church to live differently. Join us at 10am this Sunday as we learn to move away from the antagonistic way of life.
Jesus Christ demonstrated his love for humanity by sacrificially giving his life on the cross and resurrecting from the dead. Because of this incredible act of love, those who are in Christ have become new creations. All of our past mistakes, sins, and miscues have been covered by the blood of Jesus. Our past no longer has the last word and final say over our lives. We have been given a fresh start. Pastor Aaron preaches that we have been reconciled to God and we can give hope to others.
23 They ran and got him from there. When he stood among the people, he stood a head taller than anyone else. 24 Samuel said to all the people, “Do you see the one the Lord has chosen? There is no one like him among the entire population.” And all the people shouted, “Long live the king!” --------------------…
