I missed the last part of this verse and I was reminded last night that this verse comes with a great message about how we should view the world. We are told by Christ himself that Blessed are the peacemakers, the poor in spirit, and the weak. That word blessed means happy. Not just a fun time, but a…

By Pastor Glenn Pease The mayor of a small city, who was up for reelection, was making his usual lavish promises to a group of voters. The Exodus: How God Loved His Bride
Theme: God sees the suffering of the children of Israel and He promises He will rescue and redeem them. In this passage God teaches the people of Israel how much He can be trusted, how much He loves them and how much He will do for them at His own personal cost, so that when they see it they will love Him in return. God is the perfect fiancé. He’s asking the children of Israel to marry Him and He does the same for us today. He takes the church, those who love Him, and makes her His bride, He shows us and reminds us how much He has done for us and who He is. God gives us promises and he backs them up with His character and His actions.
