2019 Doctrinal Survey
As we close out our series on the Holy Spirt we need to remember that being filled (controlled by) the Spirit is a command. It's not just of "super saints" . The best way to "be being filled" is to walk by means of and at direction of the Spirit..."keep in step with Him!"
Much has transpired since last week. In light of the uncertainty of the future we need a review of core passages on fear, worry, anxiety and FAITH. It is possible to choose to live by faith in times of trouble. It is imperitive that we take the lead in our families, neighborhoods and workplaces.

The Case for Christian Optimism
Paul exhorts the readers of his letter to Phillipian belivers: "Let this mind be in you with was also in Christ Jesus..." Is it possible or attainable? Yes, Paul doesn't expect us to become omniscient. He does give us directions on what and how this "mind" or attitude is and how to adopt it as our own. The benefits of this "mindset", outlook and purpose will ripple through all our thoughts, acts and lives.

Spiritual conflict is real and not some “weird” practice for a group of “elite” saints. It’s part of every believer’s everyday life and its eternal importance comes through today’s passage loud and clear.
A balanced understanding of God is not a passive academic plod through dusty theological terms. It is a delightful adventure of discovery...if we approach Him, not "it". Any of the attributes or characteristics of God is worthy of detailed investigation, but sometimes stepping back to get a wider and more full view is needed.
