From the moment we believe in Jesus as who He claimed to be and what He offers to give, we are one in Him and with every other believer. What this means in everyday life and how we keep on track is the focus of this message. The "one another" passages of Scripture are a great help in this. Let's wotk through a few examples of these together.
Hope for the World, Hope For You!
In the depths of plagues, persecution, and natural disasters, God's people have shown through as lights in the world. Join us as we hear about God's unfolding hope for us.
One of the most common complaints about Christianity is the great number of divisions, denominations or sects. Funny we don't hear that complaint against the variety of ice cream flavors. The gospel and the Church are not matters of preference or taste. Jesus-ordained and Spirit-maintained unity in our church begin with the fact of real union before it works down to our attiturdes toward other believers.
Grace for These Last Days
We can thank God for the heritage of the courageous men and women of the Reformation era (1517-1650). We appreciate their sacrifices and stand for truth, but we must face up to their failings and learn from their mistakes. They of all people, would not want us to perpetuate flawed beliefs or practices.
