Jesus the King of he universe humbled himself and cam to the earth as a newborn baby. This event changed the course of mankind forever, making eternal life available to us. He came as a peasant king as a servant king to offer his life for all mankind.
Life can be full of problems and burdens that we must endure. We are also asked to carry the burdens of others in the midst of our own. How can we truly bear the burdens that are thrown at us. Let’s look at that subject today.

Jesus’ “Sermon on the Plain” is our manifesto for open-handed living—generous giving and loving all people without conditions or expectations.
We are told to love our neighbor as ourselves, or better still as Christ has loved us. But who is our neighbor? Do we decide who our neighbor is or is that out of our control. Or do those around us determine if we are a loving neighbor or not. We will answer these questions today.
God isn’t interested in blaming or shaming to change our behaviour. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit reached out to humanity in loving sacrifice, “once for all,” so that we could be transformed by love and then extend that transforming love to one another.
Our first culture—our true culture—is kingdom culture. We are citizens of the Kingdom of God, following Jesus our king. He teaches us “kingdom culture” through his words and example of humble, loving servanthood.
