There is one weapon in the armory, however, that not only lets us defend ourselves, but also enables us to go on the offensive, putting the enemy to flight. It is the Sword of the Spirit, which the Apostle tells us is the Word of God.

God’s armor as described in Ephesians 6 is to be worn not as art of battle, but as a part of daily life. It’s second-hand since Jesus wears it first, bring forth God’s epic plan of salvation and inviting us to wear it too.

As the word of God changes us, we can in turn use it to change the world around us.
