Many passages point us to the importance of the heart. Solomon does the same in this passage. The heart is a major battlefield in salvation and Christian living. Certainly, the first truth the Christian needs to understand is their need for the Gospel. But after the Gospel, this passage becomes another major truth we need to live for Christ.
