They began to mock him, but the boxer/pastor continued his work. One of the thugs took issue, and finally…

The Bible indeed teaches “an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth”. In this, Jesus is quoting the Scripture. Seeing that we have established that we have already established in our study on the Sermon on the Mount that what Jesus is demonstrating here is the deficiency of the Pharisees doctrine and…
Where do we start? 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever. Scripture teaches that it is wrong to strike back or to return evil for evil, whether by immediate retaliation or by taking revenge later. Justice must be done, but this must be left in the hands of God, or of the authorities ordained by God.

The way of Jesus, of His Kingdom, sets us free from the tyrrany of personal vendetta. We are free to forgive and love and help people who hurt us, who wound our pride, and who persecute us, who anger us. We are free to give away what we have knowing that God, who owns everything, is able to provide and protect and repay so that there will always be, in the end, justice, though we may see much injustice around us. God knows. Remember, while being hurt, Jesus neither fought back, nor ran away, rather he absorbed the hurt and forgave those responsible. The Spirit of Jesus is within all those who follow Him, trusting Him, those who've been born from above. LORD, help us to be different than we are. Recorded at Refuge TLH on Sunday, July 14, 2019.
Kingdom instructions for kingdom living
Righteous Responses When we become a Christian we are sealed with the Holy Spirit. It is after that, that we learn about being a Christian, to learn to know His commands, keep His commands and grow to the fulness of Christ. We continue to learn about being a kingdom dweller here as well as for heaven.…
