Devotion is a strong word, in fact it means “given over to the display, study and discussion of”. In other words, the things that we are devoted show in our lives, are the things that we learn more about and the things that we talk about. Let us look now at the devotions of the early church, Apostles teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer.
How many Christians stop to consider the importance of the Lord’s Supper in relation to spiritual maturity? Yet the Scriptures make it plain that this feast of remembrance is indispensable to steadfast continuance in the Christian life.
Spiritual practices extend into the community of faith when we practice prayer, study, unity, worship, confession and feasting together.
