The key to a magician’s act is misdirection of our attention. They try to get us to focus on the smoke and mirrors, distraction our focus so that we don’t see something important so that we don’t see what is happening right before our eyes. Sometimes the things right in front of us are the hardest things to see. There are things you see everyday that you are blind to. The labels we receive and take to heart can become a focal point which distracts us from the truth. Believing lies about ourselves and others can carry people either toward or away from Jesus.
